Chapter 120 - Hella

The person I placed hope against hope to not seeing here was in front of me.

"Vincent…"

Her same beautiful face looked to be in despair. Her tired eyes were shaking, as if begging to say the present wasn't true.

"Hella…"

"T-this wasn't supposed to happen… the Error shouldn't have led to this… that is not what the diary said…"

"What… diary?"

I took a step ahead, but Hella was not moving. She took in deep breaths, trying to calm herself down, but it didn't seem to be working.

I rushed over and took her hands in my own. Even though she tried to push me away, I didn't let go.

"Hella… Hella, calm down…"

Hella's erratic breathing continued as she looked away from my eyes. The more she shook her head the more hurt she seemed.

"Vincent… this wasn't, it wasn't like this in the diary. It never happened in the previous timeline…"

The words that had always been turned into mush all this while now clearly rang in my ears.
