A rock tumbled down. It rolled below, hitting the ground on its way before falling off the steep incline.
Birds chirped and insects hummed around us. The sway of the green trees seemed to be playing a song in the gentle morning, mountain breeze.
I stretched my hand out and Hella grabbed it.
"Weakling. What is wrong with you?"
"I am not a weakling, your stamina is insane…" Hella complained as she pulled herself straight. Not letting go of my hand, she leaned forward to catch her breath.
It was only the two of us here. We had gone straight for the tree as soon as we entered Tartarus while Hella's teammates decided to explain things to the ones inside the city.
Naturally, Hella had planted the tree at the most secure place, which was at the very top of the mountain. The climb up was quite steep.
