The sounds of the people all around slowly started to disappear. The ones repeating the words 'kill Vincent' like sheep that had just learned to walk on two legs now all fell limp.
It was quite the sound. I had wondered what it would sound like if everyone on Earth jumped at once, but if they all fell at once, it would likely sound similar.
When they would wake up, we can just make random excuses. Cedric aside, all the others that the old man kept close had been left alive.
If that still wasn't enough, I could just use the damn tree as leverage. The entire settlement now belonged to me after all.

I looked back at Hella as the two of us left the old man's body behind and started walking out of the mansion.
Now that the eight scenario had begun and I had captured all of Eastern Darma's biggest settlement, Port Kerberos, it meant that I was likely the one most ahead for the next scenario.
