It was finally happening. The day Collin would see what he would be. Of course, he already knew the answer, he was going to be a Warrior, just like his brother, Mission, and his two sisters, Fawn and Feather. He had always been training himself for being a Warrior. Late at night, he would always go outside, and practice fighting. Of course, it wasn't easy given that he was never able to summon a Star Sword. He didn't exactly have the certain gift the others had. Mission was great at engineering with technology, he once made Collin a little cube that could hover on it's own and store notes on it for his 4th birthday. The strange part was that it never stopped following him unless he turned it off. Collin was very happy to have it, given he could sometimes forget things, but he was not comfortable with the feeling of it always following no matter where he went. A present on his 3rd birthday was a wristband from Feather, at which was just special to him because she had made it with her favorite sparkles, making it glitter. Collin usually wore it every day, and today was a special day, so of course, he was wearing the wristband.Â
Fawn had given Collin something special on his 4th birthday, and this gift was Collin's favorite one. A necklace. She said she had found the stone that is embedded on it from somewhere in the Dragon Caves. Of course, since Fawn wasn't allowed there, she told him not to tell anyone.Â
"Get ready Collin, it's almost time." His father, Asteroid said. Asteroid was the Star World Champion. Every time he goes in the arena, he always wins. Never before has his father ever lost.
"Thing is, I'm already ready" Collin told him. Of course, Collin was not scared whatsoever. He felt even more special because this day was his birthday. Coincidence? Collin thought. He looked up, and, to his surprise, the purple comet was once more in the sky, illuminating a purple light in the area. This wasn't the first he saw it. He remembered a purple light from the day he was born, and he thought, perhaps, that maybe the purple comet was that purple light. Of course, for all he knew, it only came on Collin's birthday, so he thought that it might just be natural for Star Beings to have a specific comet on their birthday. Until he met his brother and sisters and realized that NONE of the other Star Beings get a comet.Â
"Well, is there much surprise there?" Mission said, as he walked to Collin, wearing the trainee Warrior badge.
"Nope, not really." Fawn replied, who was waiting with him. Collin couldn't help but wonder why he felt so bad, when something honorable was coming his way. Get a grip Collin! He thought. This is what you have waited for for 5 years! Yet he couldn't shake the feeling.
