Chapter 20 - Champion

Julius Schulz the former EBU champion known for his aggressive style of boxing charging straight at the opponent like an astroid striking a planet.

The champ does sound really powerful have you watched his fights Rob?

No I have just been focused on my training that coach Sam gave me.

I mean with only 8 wins you are already in the top 10 of the europian boxing ranking list don't you think that is a little odd?

It could be that Julius is picking easy to beat challengers as his record score is 32 wins and 0 loses.

If that were the case he had to bribe the EBR rankers to deliberately pick new boxers on the list so the more experienced boxers don't get a shot at him.

If he is doing such a cheap stunt then I am angry at him and the rankers for making a joke of pro boxing.

It's just a speculation you know I am not saying he became champion by choosing a weak champion.

There is no such thing as a "weak champion" that's why it makes me so angry even though he has the power to beat tough opponents but he still chooses to only fight mediocre or above average boxers to increase his boxing record.

So wanna watch how he beats 'those' types of opponents.

Yes play his match after be became the champion.

"While watching the first match".

Fucking bastard! it is true that he chooses weak challengers.

Ah uhmm. I get it.

What tell me you have watched a lot of his matches so you might have uncovered his stratergy.

He holds back in first and second round to make it convincing for the audience that he is fighting a good challenger but by the 4th round he shows his true colours.

Are all his matches like this?

More or less his knock out rate is 86% in 4th and 5th round. But there is one fight where he struggled, struggled is an exaggeration but definitely he had a hard time with him.

Show me right away.

"The EBU title bout of the welter weight is ready to begin in the red corner weighing 146 pounds Julius Schulz, in the blue corner weighing 147 pounds Billy Jesper".

Both boxers are in-fighters so we are going to see a slugfest in the middle of the ring.

Billy Jesper Olympic Amateur Boxing Champion vs Europian Boxing Champion Julius Schulz we will wait and watch the result of this awaited match.

"Ting" the bell has been rung both Julius and Billy has dashed in to rumble but Julius refuses and sways back dodge dodge dodge Julius is devoted to defence "Ting" first round is over either fighter was not able to land a single hit.

This is exactly like all of his other fights nothing out of the ordinary.

Just wait and watch what Billy makes Julius do.

"Ting" second round starts but this time Billy is not taking the offence they both stare each other down.

Fight both of you Fight!

The Champion nor the Challenger wants to move this has been turn into a staring contest.

Billy does John Cena's can't see me gesture.

Champion responds with come on fight me gesture Billy accepts and they both start slowly walking towards each other.

"Thump" "Thump" "Thump" both boxers exchange blows powerful jabs straight to the face neither fighter back off only 10 seconds remaining let's just see who comes out in this round.

"Ting" the violent round 2 has been over both fighters return to their respective corners but look at Billy's face both fighters exchanges the same amount of jabs than why is Billy's face so swollen?

Watch closely Rob this is the round when Julian explodes.

Oh Champion takes advantage of Billy's swollen eye and gets in close what will it be ... a liver blow! Billy falls on his knees.

Down 1... 2... 3... 4...

Billy gets up at count of 4 this time Billy rushes right explodes of Julius's guard, left right left right one two Billy throws a flurry of punches. Champion's guard is shut tight oh Billy goes for the body But! Champion hits a left hook another left hook Billy is down a second time.

I see that fucker is left-handed.

Huh what Rob? I don't understand.

He is a lefty but is still using orthodox stance so that punch we were all told was a jab is not a jab but a straight and that left hook is way more powerful than a normal hook not only that but he had major opening to use his right but he still uses his left.

Now that you mention he does use his left a awful lot even when he has the chance to finish with his right yet he still uses his left. nice observation this will help you a lot in the upcoming match.

Billy is up?

Yeah he fights till round 5.

Round 4 Julius is backed up in a corner Billy refuses to back off he is a real warrior.

Nice that Billy guy is not letting Julius jab I mean straight he is forcing Julius to use his right.

Julius's right explodes but Billy also uses his right to counter.

Ohhhhh Billy's right knocks the Champion down!

That's amatuer Champion for you.

Champion gets up at the count of 9 and he dosen't look happy both champs fight ruthlessly and Billy seems to have the upper hand.

Round 5 Oh! Champion's step in left cuts open Challengers eye it seem to be bleeding bad and doctor steps in what will it be? "Referee calls of the fight" Ohhhhhh! Julius wins by TKO(technical knockout) the crowd can finally cheer for Julius just like before he became the champ.

Rob you think Billy would have taken the belt if it wasn't for the injury to his eye?

I don't think so Julius's would have out traded Billy with his powerful straights.

But if Billy had stepped in-

"Rob looks at Niko with a serious look in his eyes" If Billy had stepped in he would have lost his vision look at the angle of his right just before the doctor stopped the fight.

"Niko rewinds the video to the moment before the doctor stepped in" Yeah you are correct 'an eye for a belt' no matter in which way you look at it it's a bad deal. So you think your jab is strong enough to keep him at a safe distance?

No "Niko gets surprised by the fast reaction Rob gives" I have to make my jab even more powerful and fast to keep him at bay.

he is 5'9 and you are 6 foot so your arms will be a lot longer than him so theoretically speaking your punch will land faster than him.

That's the problem Niko my 'punch' will land but "his" 'punches' will land I can't get into an exchange of any other punches than jabs.

But you can keep him away from you can't you?

Only to a certain degree will my flicker be able to keep him away but when he gets up close that's when the problem starts I will consult Coach Sam on this matter I bet he has some technique to counter his extraordinary step in straight.
