°CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS TIME.

It is an open fact that some Ghanaians, especially the youths, have developed a bad attitude towards time. This means some folks misuse or mismanage time, forgetting that time is truly money as the truism goes. It's believeed that whatever one uses his or her time to do will command positive or negative consequence on development of that person and the development of Ghana. If you use time doing nothing beneficial, say learning a vocation or upgrading yourself, you may not be able to generate regular income thereby launching you into poverty.

World Bank reports that lack of regular reasonable income accounts for serious poverty in the World especially in Sub Saharan Africa. Given this fact, it is extremely important that we campaign collectively against baleful attitude towards time as Ghanaians or Africans.

Time is money and nobody can deny this fact. One has many things to do with time, whether productive or unproductive. The result you get in what you do with your time is what really matters. Precisely, one can spend time, invest in time and save it. Undeniably one can waste time if he or she does not set any productive goals to achieve something in the short, medium or long term that will enhance personal and national development. Those who are engaged in the following are said to be spending their time unproductively.

UNNECESSARY ARGUMENT: Some people engage in arguments that doesn't affect their lives positively. Sadly, some people who engage in these unnecessary arguments are students who are supposed to be reading and learning at that particular time. As a result, they fail their examination in most cases. Thus, they may not be successful and they live unproductive lives. If this happens, they may not have any other alternatives than to rely on society for their Fons et rigo of livelihood or become a threat to society.

DISCUSSION OF EVENTS AND PEOPLE: It's very sad to know how some people dedicate their precious time talking about people's achievements and looming events. This bad attitude has been developed so much that they don't have appetite to do anything beneficial with their time. Some too are professional gossips. They are the epitome of gossip. They don't enjoy tranquility or peace without gossiping. This however, must be changed.

SOME EXAMPLES OF CHANGING BAD ATTITUDE TOWARDS TIME :

INVEST YOUR TIME IN THE WORD OF GOD: There is nothing of greater value in which to invest your time than learning to hear the voice of the Lord speaking to our spirits.

INVEST YOUR TIME IN EDUCATION: This involves reading good books, researching to ascertain new ways of doing things which can enhance the accomplishment of educational or specific task.

People, especially the youths, can also invest their time in generating ideas and developing them. This can be done in groups to give birth to a business plan and subsequently implement it. Most big companies came into existence as a result of the initiatives of one or two persons.

Success or failure in various fields of endeavour depends largely on how wisely you invest your time. It should be however, noted that time, whether wasted of invested cannot be regained, but the repercussion of it should be considered. African youth especially must make sure that they pursue positive and productive agenda that can add value to their lives and enhance their own development.

° CHANGE YOUR BAD ATTITUDE TOWARDS MONEY.

"If a person gets his attitude towards money straight it will help straighten out almost every other area in his life." (BILLY GRAHAM)

Some people seldom face challenges of not using money wisely. This bad attitude has been cultivated over the years. So, it's about time throw light on it so that collectively we advocate for its change to benefit our nation.

Microfinance experts in Ghana observe that Ghanaians have not significantly developed the habit of saving over the years. People don't budget for their income, and so they spend their money extravagantly. It's very relevant to develop a habit of saving and utilizing our scarce financial resources wisely or we will continually water the seed of poverty. It's expedient to draw a budget for every aspect of our lives, suoas family, education, medication, food, entertainment and business.

When we cultivate the habit of saving, every cash we have would be used judiciously. Some areas where some Ghanaians may spend their money unwisely are:

•Alcohol

•Smoking

•Substance abuse

•Sexual promiscuity

•Frivolous expenditure on fashion and accessories.

•Funerals and entertainment.

Our success or failure depends on the respect we have for every minute or tad spondulick we receive as income. It is suggested that the wise use of monet entails:

✓Drawing a personal budget so that your expected income is disbursed wisely

Cultivating a savings culture. This is very if we want to gain financial freedom, overcome debt or poverty and eventually improve upon our living standards.

✓Settings goals. Goal setting is paramount of people want to be independent financially and transform themselves through investment in education, and business. Goal setting is one of the main condiments or ingredients for living a well-focused and meaningful life. Lack of clear-cut and achievable goals will make us poor and ordinary socially, educationally and financially. One may become irrelevant in society if these keys are absent in one's life.

✓.Investment. Investment is important if one wants to develop and have an improved standard of living. We are not taught financial literacy in school. It takes a diligence and time to change your thinking and become financially literate. How to grow money is not by miracle but by proper financial management, good saving habit and good investment attitude.

°CHANGE YOUR VIOLENT ATTITUDE TOWARDS GENDER.

This bad attitude involves assaulting a woman or man I'm the marital home. However, Violence against gender may be defined as an intentional use of physical force or power, threatened, against oneself, another person, or agaia group, that results in or has a high likelihood of culminating into injury, death, psychological harm, deprivation.

This is done to show superiority over the woman in the marital home or relationship leading to marriage. Today, the trend is gradually changing as some women also beat their husbands. But the fact may not be denied that violence against women is more common across the diaspora. In addition, the violence may also be described as discrimination against gender. As a result of the notion of parochialism, men are given more opportunities and support or credence to succeed than their women countertops I'm the area of access to education or taking political opportunities, etc.

However, the most worrisome aspect is how some vigorous men have been beating their wives. Tremendous efforts have been made by government and concerned stakeholders to amend this detrimental act.

° MEASURES TO CHANGE THIS ACT

To be able to deal with violence against women, there's the need to start the change from homes. Husbands must refrain from beating their wives so that the woman would be psychologically and emotionally sound to contribute to the development of the home.

Conversely, the woman too must not abuse their husbands as some women have an advantageous stature over the male counterpartsl.

In the other hand, all concerned stakeholders should campaign against violence-related attitudes among gender on bigger platforms so that we can sound the change in this bad attitude loudly to serve as a two-way benefit for the parties it affects and the nation at large.
