• [Rankers and their Rankings] •

Rankers are people that use mana and evolve through it. This term was brought in reference to RPG's aspect of ranking up and gradually becoming stronger.

Rankers, in the world of Aegis, are often attributed as mercenaries hired by companies to hunt for mutated beasts carcasses or materials outside of the cities.

But there are also Rankers who, alternatively, choose to become celebrities and heroes hired by the government to wipe out their enemies.

Rankers have a strict grading system.

Rank F ~ ordinary person

Rank E ~ common ranker

Rank D ~ uncommon ranker

Rank C ~ elite force

Rank B ~ strong trump card

Rank A ~ king

Rank AA ~ emperor

Rank S ~ god/deity/supreme

In a battle between Rankers, one of the most important aspects are the ranks of the combatants. This is especially important because ranking up is evolving the mana and body to a higher order.

That's why, although a D Rank may have stats equally as strong as a C Rank, the latter would still triumph due to the difference of order of their lifeform.

Each advancement widens the gap between the Rankers. If C rank is ten times stronger than D Rank, then B rank is twenty times stronger than C Rank.

• [Advancement of Rankers] •

Advancing to ranks as a Ranker require 4 of the attributes (except growth) advancing up to the next rank.

Example:

————————

STR: D > D+

CONS: D > D+

STA: D > D+

AGI: D > D+

~

Rank: D > D+

————————

This advancement system applies to Rank F until Rank D. This is because advancing to Rank C requires another essential requirement other than advancing 4 attributes to the next rank.

• [Professions] •

Hunters, among the other professions, are the most common ones. A distinct trait about them is that they lack talent in mana and magic. However, in compensation they are experts in scouting, killing and finding weaknesses in their opponents

Although they are considered the weakest, in a certain angle, they could also be the most dangerous in a one on one fight. They are the most common, but special ones among them can be considered dangerous.

Sorcerers, are long ranged Rankers that have expertise in magic. They are distinctly weak in their physical bodies, but have a high advantage in using magic. They have greater control of mana and use of it, in comparison to other professions. They use magic symbols and circles to launch spells.

Furthermore, there are two branches of sorcerers; Warlocks and Summoners. Warlocks deal with the occult and strange powers, while Summoner's deal with spirits and contracted beasts.

In a sense, although they are the weakest in a physical confrontation, they are surely the strongest sheer destructive firepower because of the arsenal of skills they possess surpass the other professions.

Combat Mages, without a doubt, is the most well-rounded and best profession among the rest. It's without weakness and the combination of both Hunters and Sorcerers.

Possessing great physical strength and magical talent, they are the elite force that could be the strongest among the other professions.

They are most suited in traversing the dungeons as the leaders considering their well rounded powers and abilities. However, a major flaw is that they are too rare and too hard to train into.

Although these are the three professions, there are also countless types beneath the profession. There are Hunters who specialize in exploring, there are also those who are adept at body combat.
