The town on the southern part outside the Disaster Forest was completely destroyed and only left a huge crater as the result of the explosion. The explosion was heard and seen in the whole continent and beyond. Especially on the Northern East outside the Disaster Forest, there was a kingdom that was the nearest to the Disaster Forest and the newly founded and now gone town. The Kingdom was known as, the Kingdom of Hohen, ruled by king Roderick Hohenheim. The Kingdom was currently on a big commotion because of the huge explosion not too long ago. The king also sent some of his men to investigate the source of the explosion.
Currently, the king was on his office doing paper works while waiting for a report. After a while, someone knocked at the door. *Knock* *Knock*
"Come in," said Roderick. The door open and an old butler walk in with his hands on the back. Roderick stop working on his paperwork and look at the butler, he said, "report, old man." "It would seems like the communication devices didn't work on contacting the town at the South, boy." The butler replied. If anyone saw their exchange of words, they will surely think that the butler was disrespectful towards the king, However, it was always been like this since the current king was young and being babysit by the old butler.
"I see, Perhaps the town got destroyed. That explosion was gigantic, it would be strange if the town didn't turned into ashes," said Roderick with a serious expression. "I agree. But we still need to wait for the knights you've sent to investigate," said old butler.
"What do think about the explosion, old man?" Asked Roderick. The butler then replied, "It's possible that it was caused by a powerful monster like dragons or demons, maybe it was caused by a powerful explosive artifact? There is also a possibility that it was done by someone. Though, we lack evidence, so we cannot confirm it."
"Hm, I thought so too. I had a feeling that it was caused by someone and that 'someone', will surely come here," said Roderick as stood up and went to look outside the window. "Is there anything else, old man?" Ask Roderick.
Then the butler replied, "Yes, there is. It would seems like the explosion made the other kingdom wary. Thus, slowing the progress of their invasion." Upon hearing this, a smirk creep on Roderick's face. "Finally, there's still hope," Roderick muttered in a low voice but the butler still heard it. The butler decided to ask, "What do you mean by 'Finally', boy?"
Roderick turn around and face his butler, "'Finally' that someone will teach those scum a lesson." He raise his palm near his chest and ignite a fist sized flame. He look at the flame with a serious expression and continue, "The power I hold may be enough to take over this kingdom that was once ruled by my father. But not enough to take other kingdoms on a head on war. When I was a child, a certain person told me that one day, someone will change this rotten world. And 12 years ago, before I became the king in this kingdom, he appeared once again and said, '12 years from now, they will appear and change this world'. And recently, we just witnessed a massive explosion."
The butler was stunned but didn't show it and he asked, "Who is this person you spoke of, boy?" Roderick blew the flame out and answered, "I have no idea, he had a diamond blue eyes, though I can't remember him well. But he did say, 'By the way, they will start by playing with fireworks in broad daylight.' that's why I think, they're here." The butler was confused by the word 'fireworks', so he asked, "I know what fire is, but not fireworks. So what does a 'fireworks' mean?" Upon hearing this, Roderick stared blankly at the butler. Roderick blink once, and then twice.
"Oh right, fireworks don't exist in this world," Roderick muttered in a low voice that no one can hear. He sighed and replied, "Fireworks are like explosions in the sky, they're meant to catch the eyes of people because of how beautiful it is, like many different types of flowers with many colours." The butler was silent for a few seconds as he thinks, then asked Roderick again, "But boy, where did you learned about this 'fireworks' that I never knew existed?" Upon hearing the butler's question, sweat drop appeared on Roderick's face as he think on what to answer. Then finally, he was able to think of an answer to deceive his butler.
"Um, the person who told me about it," the butler just sighed and was about to leave but something came in his mind, "Boy, I got another question. Are the reason of you freeing all the demi humans in this kingdom, related to this so called 'someone'?" Roderick sighed, "Yes it is. That 'someone' will punish those who abuse others and the Eldritch Sprout. That's why I took over this kingdom and if I didn't, there's a chance for us to turn into dust. That's also the reason why I strictly ordered to stop using the Eldritch Sprout and replace it with Mana Battery. *Sigh* Anyway, you can leave now." As he said that, the butler bowed and leave the room. Roderick went back on his seat.
'To think it really came true. I guess I should welcome them properly when they arrive here. I'm sure they won't do anything in this kingdom. After all, I've made the Humans and Demihumans here coexist with one another. I don't think all of the demihumans had forgiven us in just 12 years, but at least most of them forgave us and live with us peacefully now, I'm glad it all worked out.' Thought Roderick as he sighed. Then suddenly, the door opened and two women entered the room. One was a blonde haired human with golden brown eyes and the other one was a blonde yellow haired elf with golden yellow eyes.
""Dear, we're here~"" both of them said at the same time as they rushed towards Roderick and sit on his lap, both left and right. The human woman was Roderick's childhood sweetheart and now his wife. The elf woman was the first and only slave he ever had and he cherished her deeply, she was gifted to him by his father, of course he was against the idea of making other races' slaves, so he work hard to take over his father and free the elf from slavery and became his wife that she always wanted. Roderick could only sigh and smile, "What are you both doing here?" Both women wrap their arms around Roderick's neck. "Hehe~ we have nothing to do, so we came here," the elf said playfully. "Yeah you were so busy since that explosion 2 days ago," the other one said pouting.
"Then can you both wait for a minute, I'm almost done here. And after that, let's go to a restaurant for lunch," Roderick said. "Then let's go to my mom's newly open restaurant," the elf said happily. "Sure, but I'll finish this first," said Roderick. "Nope, no way. You didn't spend time with us for 2 days, so this is your punishment~" the human said teasingly. "I can't work properly though," Roderick complained, but it was no use against his two wives. ""Hehe~ that's why it's called punishment~" both women said at the same time. Roderick couldn't complain, since he was happy that his wives had no intention of holding back on what they wanted to do. They didn't let Roderick's title as the king ruin their relationship, unlike both his late mother and late father.
"Fine, but don't expect that I won't punish you both tonight," upon hearing his words, both his wives giggled, ""Hehe~""
