It was a usual night in his dome, where all the mafia activities were done. His dark and frightening aura permeated the area. Lorenzo Vincent was wearing a dark blue suit that complemented his intimidating dark brown hair. He was discussing with the members various deals to be made, while they were nodding timidly. This was very normal for him. They didn't have the guts to say anything against him, and he hated that. He wanted the members of his gang to be strong enough to express their opinions themselves.
One of his men came to him and said, "Boss, we have him in the basement tonight."
He chuckled darkly before saying, "Now the real fun starts." The man bowed to him and went away. Lorenzo went out of the dorm, followed by his men.
He went straight to the basement, where the man was sitting on a chair tied with ropes. The man's face was almost unrecognizable, with bloody cheeks and dirty hands with scars on them.
Lorenzo went to him, grabbed his hair, and asked, "I'll ask you one last time, why did you betray us?"
The man laughed like a psycho and said, "I'll never tell you about it."
Lorenzo pulled out a gun and pointed at the man's forehead. "The day you decided to betray us is the day you signed your death in my hands." Lorenzo said in his deep, devilish voice. He pulled the trigger, the blood splattered on his shirt and the man was dead on the spot. He didn't even re-think about the person he had just killed. It was true that people said he was completely heartless.
Lorenzo was really angry that another man betrayed him for Joe Adonis, his biggest enemy. He threw the glass, which was on the table beside the dead man. He growled loudly. All his men were standing there with their heads down, fearing for their lives. Lorenzo noticed the men and chuckled hysterically.
"Don't worry, I won't kill you; I'll be loyal to you. The only people to whom I owe my loyalty are those who never made me question theirs." Lorenzo said, looking at his men, who still had their heads down.
Lorenzo hated traitors more than anything. Joe Adonis was Lorenzo's father's most trusted man. He, too, was a mafia member. His father trusted Joe more than himself. Little did he know that Joe was the greediest dog who would backstab Lorenzo's parents when they were sleeping peacefully. He called one of his men and asked him to clean up the mess. He then changed his clothes in his office, as there was blood on them. After that, he headed directly home.
After eating dinner, Lorenzo went directly upstairs to his room. He took a warm bath and wore comfortable clothes. He took his parents' photo frame from the nightstand. "I'll find him soon, and the day I find him will be the day he takes his last breath." He said in a promising tone. He admired the photo of his parents but quickly kept it aside, not wanting to remember the dark times of his life. He then drifted into a deep slumber.

In the morning, after he woke up, he got ready and went downstairs. His 6-year-old sister came running and hugged him.
"Careful Sofia!" Lorenzo said, in an affectionate yet concerned tone. Sofia was the only light in his life.
After seeing Lorenzo, the little one squeaked, "You came late yesterday, Enzo!" She hugged his legs tightly and said. He smiled and picked her up in his arms.
"I'm sorry, I had work to do. But Sofia, you didn't tell me what you did yesterday in school?" Lorenzo continued the conversation. She started blabbering all the stories about her school and friends. He listened to each and every word carefully and patiently. He loved Sofia more than anyone else. After all, she was his only family.
After they ate breakfast together, Lorenzo asked his most trusted man, Antonio, to drop Sofia off at school. He cannot compromise with his sister's safety. After Sofia completed the breakfast, she kissed Lorenzo's cheek before bidding goodbye to him. Lorenzo started getting ready to go to his office, where he works as the CEO for the world, but the 'Vincent Office' had all the secret mafia activities going on in the basement.

Lorenzo was sitting in his office, checking his schedule for today. There was a knock at the door. He asked the person to come in.
One of his men, Philip, came to his office and gave him a report while saying, "Sir, the weather department said that it is likely to rain today."
He sighed. Sofia witnessed their parents being murdered on a rainy, thunderous night. Since then, she has astraphobia—a fear of lightning and thunder. Whenever it rains, she becomes highly alert and tries to hurt all people who come near her, except for her only brother, who could calm her down.
He immediately called Antonio, Sofia's caretaker, and asked him to bring her back home. He had already built a sound proof room only for Sofia, so that she wouldn't hear the thunders. He left his office and came back home. By that time, Sofia was already there.
"Why did you call me Enzo? I had my sports class." Sofia whined.
"Well, I missed you and wanted to spend time with you, Soph." Lorenzo said, bending down to her level while ruffling her hair. He didn't want her to know that it might rain soon. He immediately carried her in his arms to the soundproof room. He spent the whole day while talking to Sofia and watching cartoons until they both fell asleep.
