Chapter 1 - Whispers of Twilight Chapter 1: Flames of Destiny

Infernum

In the center of Infernum, a dark and foreboding realm brimming with unsettling power, a magnificent mansion manifested, swallowed by a sea of flames, And in the midst of this sea of fire, a young boy with shiny blue accent hair streaked with silver stood, dressed in a stylish black suit. His mesmerizing eyes, a captivating navy blue eyes, glistened with unshed tears as he knelt on the ground, revealing his inner struggle of anger and sadness.

"Nooooooooo…" he screamed.

"Why…?" his voice trembled with anguish. "Sinistra, tell me why…"

A girl floated in the sky, her eyes emanated a deep shade of dark green filled with joy, while her jet-black hair seemed to swallow all light. She was adorned in a striking red suit, her face smeared with the stains of blood, and her lips held a cruel smirk that took pleasure in Regis' suffering. She continued to provoke him further. "You know why, Regis. They have to perish by my hands. This was bound to happen, sooner or later."

Regis clenched his fist, gritting his teeth, and with rage in his eyes, confronted Sinistra. "Have to perish? Bound to happen? Just why?" he screamed.

Sinistra's wicked smirk persisted, with an unyielding mockery hidden within it, as she took on a darker tone. Fixing her piercing gaze upon Regis and Extending her hand toward Regis, she declared, "Regis, I will ask you again. Choose your fate:

Freedom or Sacrifice."

Regis was taken aback by Sinistra's words. He looked into the unending flames, his expression filled with disgust. "Why would I choose freedom? What good would it do me now?"

Sinistra's smirk grew wider, ready to reply, but Regis cut her off abruptly. He faced her with unwavering rage, pointing his finger directly at her. "I won't choose either. I won't let you control me again. I will make my own path and shape my own destiny."

With these defiant words, a surge of formidable energy emanated from Regis. "I, the Night Lord, command you, burning flames within me, to break free and unleash the seal!"

The ground quaked, and a furious darkness engulfed everything, eradicating the flames in its wake. The entire world trembled in response.

Observing this astonishing display, Sinistra was taken aback, her laughter transformed into a mixture of shock and amusement. "Regis, finally... finally, you're revealing your true self," she remarked.

"Sinistra,  I will never forgive you." Regis vowed, his voice filled with seething anger, glowed blue eyes piercing through her.

"Regis, who needs your forgiveness?" Sinistra replied, her tone chillingly cold, her eyes glow green filled with joy.

And so, the clash between them commenced, each harboring their own motives and secrets.

Amidst the chaos, Regis found himself lost in a whirlwind of thoughts, his mind filled with lingering questions. "Why did I go to the window? Why did our paths intertwine? Why?" His mind drifted back to that fateful night, the night when he first encountered Sinistra.

Three hundred years ago,

Nightnova Mansion

In the depths of the pitch-black night, a grand mansion stood proudly, its richness radiating throughout the encompassing mountains. Echoing voices filled the air, resonating within the lavish halls, as I reluctantly made my way to the heart of my very first banquet—a social gathering that I despised. The thought of crowded places, where everyone wore masks of pretense, held no interest for me. However, despite my distaste for such gatherings, attending was inevitable. The banquet had been arranged specifically to honor me, leaving me with no choice but to be present.

With long, dark blue accent, and mesmerizing hair cascading down, its ends shimmering like silver, His eyes, a captivating navy blue, wearing a noble suit in a luxurious blend of silver and black. I am Ludex Noctis Regis, the second-born child and first son of the esteemed Night Nova Clan's leader.

Tonight, I was the center of attention as the celebration marked my 100th year of existence—a significant event in Infernum. In this realm, three banquets were held to honor individuals: the chilhood banquet at 100 years old, the adult ceremony at 300 years, and the marriage or crowning ceremony whenever the individual want.

Tonight, I was going to meet members from all seven clans, but to my astonishment, I couldn't spot anyone from the Irae Clan.

My father's words echoed in my mind

[Flashback starts]

Inside the dimly lit study room, an adult man stood near the window, his gaze fixated on the world beyond. He issued a warning to his son with a cautious tone, "Son, be wary of the members of the Irae Clan. If you happen to come across them, it would be wise to keep your distance."

I couldn't help but feel intrigued by his warning.

"Father," I asked,

"I understand that their clan surpasses ours in power, but why must we fear and play the role of attendants in their presence?"

There was a hint of regret in his voice as he responded, "If it were solely up to me, I would avoid any interaction with them altogether. But..." His voice trailed off, and he concluded, " Just follow my instructions."

Filled with a sense of wonder, I bowed respectfully to my father and obediently replied, "Of course, Father. As you wish."

[Flashback ends]

While I surveyed the room in search of any sign of the Irae Clan, a girl materialized out of nowhere and embraced me from behind.
