Isaac POV
When the elevator opened to my floor my assistant already there waiting for me.
“Good morning Jeff”. I greeted him.
“Good morning Isaac”. What on earth happened to him? Why he is smiling like an idiot?
“Why are you looking at me like that? I questioned Jeff.
“What?
“Like am a human with a horn on my head”.
“Oh, do I give you a look like that?“. while scratching his head.
“Jeff, why you are being weird today? Never mind, what’s my schedule for today?
“You are the one who is being weird today, with a smile plaster all over your face gives me a creep”. I mumbled to myself.
“What are you murmuring about? I can’t understand any single of it.” my assistant is giving me weird vibes today.
“Nothing, you have one important video conference today”. I started to brief Isaac on his schedule for the whole day. I needed to know what happened to him yesterday after I left. I feel he is different today.
“Jeff call Gary and tell him he can come here around lunchtime”.
“Gary didn’t drive you this morning?” I looked at Mr. Jones with a confused face.
“Yeah, I told him I can drive this morning”.
“Oh, are you really okay Mr. Jones?” is this really Isaac I know?
"Yes, why?”
“Because you are so different from before, did something happen yesterday when I’m not around?
“Nothing, Jeff quit it, you are thinking too much. Go get back to your work."
After Jeff left my office I started to review some files that need my signature and suddenly my phone vibrated. I check it and got surprised. Bettany send me a message. I get excited about what her message will be, we just separated a little while ago.
I opened it and read her message.
Bettany: Thank you for today, Mr. Jones.
“Ha, she’s still calling me Mr. Jones after we get to know each other a bit yesterday night. Here I thought we became friends after that dinner. I sent a reply to her instantly.
Me: Mr. Jones?
Bettany: Is there a problem Mr. Jones?
"We are friends already right?, we exchange personal stories already, or do I just assume it? Should I ask her if we are friends? I replied again to her message.
Me: I thought we were already friends but you still call me formally.
Bettany: We’re in the office Mr. Jones remember?
"She didn't confirm if we are friends or not. So it's right if I conclude that we are friends now. Right?. Ah, Bettany, you confused me sometimes."
So I replied again.
Me: Yeah, I know that, you don’t need to remind me but we are texting, and no one sees us why so formal?
Bettany: Fine, I know I will not win this argument with you. Thank you, Isaac. Happy?
Mr. Jones: Yeah, much better.
"Ha, I see you agree now. Much better when you are calling me by my name. I still stare at my phone and didn't realize I have a silly smile on my face. Usually, when I'm at my work I don't know the meaning of a smile at all. I'm always on my business face to the point that sometimes my employees are scared to see or approached me.
As the day passed by, I felt relaxed especially when I see Bettany's smiling face. I'm always looking forward to seeing her around. Her innocent, honest, and silliness personality will lift your mood. I am really happy that she is my neighbor and friend. I'm looking forward to knowing her.

Knock...Knock...
"Come in", I answered
"Mr. Jones,". I stopped what I'm going to ask when I see he is smiling again.
"What is it, Jeff?" I ask him still staring at my phone waiting for her reply.
"Oh, I just wanted to ask where you want to have lunch today. I have called Gary and he is downstairs already." What is so interesting about his phone, is that he is smiling like a lovesick boy.
"Just order a take-out, I don't feel like going out today. Oh and make an extra for one person."
"Okay, but for whom it will be?
"That's all you need to know, now go leave me".
"But you didn't answer my question about whom the extra one is". he looked at me with his stern eyes and now it was my queue to go.
"Okay, I'm leaving".
After Jeff left, I check my phone again but she didn't reply at all. Oh, maybe she is busy already. So I get back to my work again.
Around 2 o'clock I finished my overseas conference. I'm starving already so I asked Jeff to prepare our lunch and I remember I order also for Bettany's lunch. I sent her a message.
Me: Hey, did you have your lunch?
I waited for her reply but after a few minutes, I didn't get any. So I told Jeff to call Editorial Dept. and ask for Ms. Wright. Being Jeff he gave me a confused look again and left to make a call.
Carol: Good Afternoon, Jones Publishing, Editorial Department how may I help you?
Jeff: Hi, this is Jeff Han from CEO's Office may I speak to Ms. Wright?
Carol: Sorry Mr. Han, but Ms. Wright is not available right now her meeting is still ongoing. If it's urgent you can leave a message and I will rely on her right now.
Jeff: It's okay, I will call again later.
I started to eat when Jeff come again to my office.
"Mr. Jones, Ms. Wright is not available her meeting is still ongoing right now".
"Okay, forget it take your seat and eat your lunch".
That's why she is not replying to my message. I asked Jeff to send the extra one to Bettany's office without explaining anything. She's really into her job hah. What a hard-working woman.
