Chereads / Sold to the married billionaire / Chapter 8 - Chapter eight

Chapter 8 - Chapter eight

“You mean he gave you his credit card to buy anything you want to?” Janette nodded her head, smiling like a child who’d just received a Christmas gift from Santa Claus. “God, you are blessed Jan. I honestly need a man like Jackson in my miserable life.” Margaret raised her head to the ceiling like she was praying and then scrutinized the credit card again with her fingers running over Jackson’s name, that was boldly written in gold.

“What about Anna?” Janette asked,

“Anna is hot, cute and strong too but I want a billionaire husband like Jackson.” Just then the front door opened, and in came a hot brunette,

“Ma’am Solomon is here” Anna muttered and glared at Margaret beside Janette.

“Where is he?” Janette seemed rather transfixed, she looked past Anna’s shoulder hoping to see Solomon.

“He’s outside ma’am,”

I don’t want to see that your puppet close to you! Jackson’s words came to her mind, but she quickly dismissed it and asked Anna to let him. Anna mutely nodded and turned to leave. Margaret ran after her. She felt a flutter of guilt because she was painfully aware that Anna had heard her discussion with Janette. “C’mon Anna, ya know, I don’t mean what I said.”

“I don’t care, is not like you owe me any explanation.” Margaret went mutely. Perhaps Anna was right, not that they are a couple or something. “Well, I still apologise for what I said back there.” She slid her arm around Anna’s shoulder as they strode out of the door. Anna tried to release herself, but she failed miserably. “Let me go, Margaret, I have work to do. Go back to your friends.” Margaret shook her head. “I like to watch you work.”

“Do you even know what I do?”

“Not like I care,” she muttered and moved her face closed to Anna’s ear, licking it. “What the hell are you doing? Get off me.” Anna pushed her away and quickly walked away, but Margaret still followed her.

“Holy shit!” Margaret yelled as her eyes wander around the room filled with sophisticated weapons.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Anna screamed at her, dropping the gun she was holding on the long table at the center of the room.

“Why do you have guns in the house?” She asked, ignoring Anna’s question. She moved across the table and reached for the small clean pistol, scrutinizing it. “Do you know how to use a gun?” She turned to Anna, pointing the small pistol at her.

“Hey dropped that thing off my face; you want to kill me?” Margaret laughed heartily, dropping the gun to her side.

“You are cute when you are scared.” Anna glared at her and reached for the gun in her hand. She dropped it back in its previous position and dragged Margaret out of the room. “I don’t know you are bad ass. Can you teach me how to use a gun?” Anna shook her head in protestation as the walkout of the other building. “I’ll be the cause of your dead.”

Margaret rolled her eyes at her and tilted her head, glancing at her. “Where’s your room?”

“Why do you ask?”

“I just want to see your room, babe.” Anna led her into another part of the building. They strolled down the long hallway and stopped in front of a well published wooden door. “There are way too many rooms in this house.” Anna nodded in agreement as she opened the door, revealing a white room with white couches, a very big queen-size bed, and a large painting of a naked woman on the wall. “Dehm I love your painting.” Margaret went to stand in front of the painting with her head up, looking at the large painting intensely.

“I’m not surprise but thank you.” She tilted her head, looking at Anna, licking her lower lips with a slutty grin on her face. “Perhaps we should go now. My boss would be back any moment’ from now.”

Margaret squints her eyes towards Anna. “c’mon Anna, let’s get acquainted with each other. I know your boss had travelled and won’t be back until tomorrow.” Before Anna could open her mouth to speak, Margaret had already slid her hand inside her top.

“Hi, babe.” Sol sat down close to Janette on the couch. Sliding his right arm around her shoulders, he placed an obligatory peck on her cheek and sighed in relief.

“Hi love, I missed you so much,” she dropped her head on his shoulder, Sol smiled sadly at her; he slowly raised her head from his shoulder and kissed her lips. “I missed you too,, babe. Why didn’t you come to school today?”

Janette sighed. “Jackson stopped me from coming.”

“That bastard,” he whispered, and turned to see if Michael was somewhere around the room. “You missed school work.” He told her, “Michael brought all my schoolwork for me.”

“How d-did he managed to do that?” He asked, looking at her with surprise. She shrugged her shoulders and said; “I honestly don’t know. Jackson can do anything.” Janette reply and turned her body to face him on the couch. Looking intensely at him, suddenly, she realized how much she will miss being around him now that she no longer leave with her parents. Too many losses lately. Janette thought sadly of their relationship.

“What’s on your mind” He asked, looking at her with a twinge of concern.

“About us, Sol I really miss us.” He took a deep breath and pulled her closer to his chest. “I missed us too babe, it’s so hard to stay a day without you.”

“You should come visit whenever you want.” Sol thought for a while and then asked, “will your husband even allow me? He refused to let me see you the other day.”

“Well, don’t worry about that, I can help you Snick in.” Sol pondered if snicking into Jackson’s house will be a good idea, but then he can do anything to be with his love. Janette moved away from Sol’s chest and looked at him with lust. Sol looked at her with the same lust in his eyes. Do you want us to go to your room?” She quickly shook her head and held his hand. Their feet hurried on the staircase, only slowing to open the door. Sol's eyes wander around, making sure nobody was watching them before disappearing into the room.

Few hours later Janette and her friends conspicuously entered the gigantic Victoria secret store with their eyes wandering around. Margaret held Anna’s hand, dragging her to the lingerie section. “This place is heavenly.” She said, almost above a whisper. Janette and Sol came to stand beside them and Janette nodded her head in agreement.

“Which one do you like the most,, babe?” Janette held two sets of lingerie in both hands, displaying them in his face. Sol’s gaze linger on them for a few seconds then pointed the red one. “This one,”

They have been shopping ferociously. By the time they finished shopping and their bags have arrived, they needed a bureau or a vanity table to hold everything. Janette make sure she bought things for Sol, her sister Michelle, Margaret and her parents; She even insisted that Michael and Anna pick things for themselves.

As the afternoon wore on, Janette was already exhausted and decided it’s time they head back to the mansion. The moment Michael pulled over at the parking lot, Janette climbed out of the car and strode into the mansion, with Sol following sedately behind her. With a heavy sigh, she sat on the couch and Sol joined her. Margaret joined them shortly after, making herself comfortable on the empty couch where she can easily have a better view of their faces.

“Where’s my phone?” Janette asked looking directly at Sol, he shrugged his shoulder and told her to check her bag perhaps is inside there, she obediently foraged through her back and brought the Jackson’s credit card, a frown passed over her face when she realized her phone wasn’t inside her bag as she thought, Janette dropped the credit card on the table and asked Sol, “do you by any chance have my phone? Cause I can’t find it in my bag.”

“Have you checked your pocket?” She stood up from her seat and searched her pockets for the phone. “Is not in my pockets either. Perhaps you should check your trousers.” Reluctantly, Sol deepened his hand inside his pocket as suggested by Janette and brought out her phone. She glared at him playfully and took the phone from him.

“My goodness...” she yelled, looking at the phone.

“What happened?” Margaret and Sol asked in chorus, looking at her with concern.

“I have twenty-two missed calls from Jackson. He’s gonna get real pissed.” Sol openly hissed, showing his disliked for Jackson. “He’s not gonna do anything Jan, you worry about nothing.”

Meanwhile, Margaret's eyes travelled to the credit card on the table. She reached for the credit card, scrutinizing it again, “I still can’t believe he gave you his credit card. I can image how much millions he has inside his account.”

Janette looked up from her phone and saw Margaret still holding the card, “give it to me Mag, she reached for the cad but Margaret refused to release it, her grip on the credit card was way too strong, “Mag let me have it,” the other lady shook her head in protestation as the struggled with the little object. “You are going to break the...” Before Janette could complete her statement, the credit card broke into two. Margaret stared at the remaining broken pieces in her hand with great sho.ck Janette did the sa. S she pondered what shwa is going to tell Jackson when he returns and ask for his credit card. Why did I even dragged the fucking thing with my psycho friend?

“J-Jan I’m sorry.” Margaret said remorsefully and reached her hand to Janet. So she glanced at the other half in Margaret’s hand and then took it without even giving her a glance.

“What are we going to do now? I have to fix it before Jackson returns.” She dropped it on the table and stared at it thoughtfully with the tip of her finger on her cheek.

“We can try glue.” Sol suggested. Margaret quickly nodded her head in agreement. “Sol is rig. D do you have glue in the house?”

“I don’t have glue, but I’ll ask Michael or any of the maids.” She swiftly stood up and shuffled her way out of the room. Fifteen minutes later Janette appeared with the glue clutched in her hand. Sol helped her apply the glue and joined the teo broken pieces together, her carefully dropped it on the table and Janette sighed in relief.

Later that evening Janette visited her parent’s house as promised. Michelle, who was sitting in the sitting room watching Netflix, swiftly stood up and wobbled her way to meet her sister by the door, “Jan!” She yelled and leaped into Janette's ample arms, “I missed you so much, sis,” Michelle retorted, hugging her sister again.

“I missed you too, kiddo. I can see you are feeling much better now.” Michelle nodded her head enthusiastically and held her sister’s hand affectionately.

“I’m strong now.”

“Strong enough to go back to school,” the younger sister nodded her head again, smiling at Janette.

“Good, where’s mum and dad?” Janette's eyes wander around the room and through the opened kitchen.

“Mum is in her room and dad stepped out few minutes ago.” Janette nodded and turned to Michael, who was standing outside the open door looking at the two sisters displaying their affection. “You can drop the bags and retire for the night. I’ll spend the night here with my parents.” Without any protestation, Michael mutely nodded his head and entered the sitting room. He carefully dropped all the bags on the center table. “Good night ma’am.”

“Good night Michael.” She dismissed him and shut the door.

Janette walked towards the familiar staircase and paused in front of her room. Reluctantly, she raised her hand to the doorknob, sliding the door open. The room still has her mint and vanilla smell. Walking further into the room, she went straight to her drawer and pulled out some of her school textbooks; dropping them on her dresser, she clumsily walked to her bed and slumped on the bed. Janette sighed, closing her eyes shut. Oh, how I missed my bed! She breathes with her eyes still closed. The gentle knock on the door drew her attention. Could that be my mother? She pondered and reluctantly answered.

“Hi sweetie,” Sandra’s voice buzzed in her ears. Getting to a sitting position, Janette looked at her mum by the door and a small smile finds its way to her face.

“Hey mum,” she whispered and watched the older woman drag her legs towards the bed, “how are you, sweetie?” She asked, looking at Janette intensely.

“I’m fine mum, you are fine too I s’pose.”

“Yes, of course, look at you, you are looking good.” Sandra muttered, with her eyes still fixed on her daughter.

“C’mon mum, I left this house barely two days ago.”

“So what sweetie, you still look different and... cleaned up. Look at your clothes, aren’t these designers?”

“Mum, stop it, where’s dad?” She asked, changing the topic.

“Your dad went out for a business meeting. Your dad is a very busy man now.” She told Janette with a faraway look on her face.

“I see. Perhaps business is doing well for him.” Sandra smiled and nodded her head in agreement.

“True, I can say we’re doing much better now.” She said haltingly and tilted her head to look at Janette. “how’s Jackson treating you?”

Janette shrugged her shoulders, playing with her fingers. “H-he’s treating me well. He travelled and won’t be back until tomorrow morning.”

“Travelled isn’t he s’posed to spend some time with you as his new bride?” If Janette loves him, that would have been an issue, but since she doesn’t feel anything romantic towards him, she doesn’t mind if he stays or not; and she’ll rather have him travel every day to have the chance to be with her lover, “well, he said he has something urgent to take care of in Switzerland and he apologized.” She half lied.
