Chapter 35 - Illusion

No matter how hard Fu Yang screamed at the top of his lungs, there was no response.

Resigned to his current situation, Fu Yang returned in front of the door with the hope that at some point Ming Ze would come out of the forest and arrive at his current place.

He waited and waited. Seconds turned to minutes, minutes turned to hours, hours turned to days, and days turned to weeks.

He waited for anyone to come and save him. However, no matter how much he waited, he was still stuck looking at this door.

Fu Yang took his cultivation book out of his spatial ring.

It was this damned book that caused his misery. Stuck in this place away from his son and disciples.

If it weren't for this damn cultivation, he wouldn't even come here. With such desperate feelings, he tried destroying the book. Hoping to never see this again.

But, no matter how much he tried crumpling the paper, it would immediately return to it's initial uniform flat appearance.

Tired, he immediately put it back. It seemed like he couldn't vent his anger towards the book. Rather, seeing the unchanged appearance of the book angered him more.

Was he really a good master? He had barely spent a week with his disciples. He hadn't even had the chance to truly be a master to them.

"Fck this cultivation skill, should I just restart?"

As soon as that thought crossed his mind, there seemed to be a reaction coming from the insignia on his chest.

Two balls of light emerged from it, one blue and one red.

Looking at these two balls of light, Fu Yang immediately recognized them as belonging to Shi Wen and Yu Feng, his two disciples.

Fu Yang stood up and approached the Blue Light, which belonged to Shi Wen.

As he looked inside, he witnessed a scene unfolding before him.

In a cold, desolate place, a young man with blue hair stood, clutching his heart. The young man seemed to be struggling to contain his power. Blue flames constantly surrounded him with each step he took, only to disappear as soon as they touched the cold surroundings.

However, with each occurrence, the blue fire grew stronger and stronger, eventually overpowering the young man and causing him to succumb to the flames.

The young man stood there as if he was resigned to his fate, he let go all his restraints on his power. Soon, the scene turned black. Signifying the end.

Fu Yang didn't know why it ended, did Shi Wen die? Or the ball of light cut off the scene there? Either the answers, Fu Yang vowed to never let that happen in real life.

Fu Yang recalled the description of Shi Wen's physique. If his body wasn't strong enough, he would be eaten by his own fire.

Was this scene depicting how Shi Wen would meet his demise in the future if he didn't reach the Nascent Realm before the age of 18?

Thoughts of these dire possibilities clenched Fu Yang's fist.

He couldn't allow his first disciple to face this alone. He was his master; he shouldn't be stuck here, waiting for his own downfall.

With firm resolution, he turned his attention to the Red Ball of Light.

If these two lights were showing glimpses of the future, he needed to examine both of them to understand the fate of his two disciples.

The scene unfolded before him.

The appearance of Yu Feng in front of him wasn't any different from what he remembered.

The same youthful face of Yu Feng was in the scene before him.

He was facing a dangerous 4-Star Mud Hippopotamus, with the current strength of Yu Feng confronting this Hippopotamus was akin to courting death.

The difference of their respective strength was huge, Yu Feng would be immediately overpowered by this Hippopotamus. Givings him no chance to escape at all.

As soon as Yu Feng was bitten by the Hippopotamus, the scene turned black.

Seeing this, Fu Yang slapped his face.

What he just saw right now wasn't real, his disciples were alive.

He just needs to get out of here and be with them...

Fu Yang took out his Aptitude Seeking Mirror, and put it above the insignia. He was hoping for some sort of reaction from it but there was nothing.

Facing such desperation, he exerted all his force towards the door. However, the door didn't budge for even a millimeter.

It stood tall, unmoved even after his Nascent Realm strength punched the gate.

Losing all his hope, Fu Yang sat down near the gate.

Was he going to get stuck here for the rest of his life?

'...ng'

Was his disciples going to die without ever feeling the warmth of their master?

'... Yang'

Was this the end of his journey as a good master?

"Mr. Fu Yang!"

Opening his eyes he saw a slightly mature man with short pointy ears.

"Ming Ze! Why did you just come right now?"

Hearing the words of Fu Yang, Ming Ze frowned.

The two of them were stuck here so how could he get out of here?

"What do you mean Mr. Fu Yang? I can't seem to understand you."

Earlier Fu Yang was doing strange movements, acting as if he was stabbed and then laughing while shouting 'Energy Spring!'

Ming Ze found Fu Yang entertaining at first, but soon he realized that there might be really something wrong with him.

As if he was under an Illusion. If that was the case, why wasn't he affected? He was also stuck here for the same amount of time.

Ming Ze wanted to punch him in return for what he did earlier, but then he recalled that his strength hadn't returned yet.

Even if he punched Fu Yang in his current state, due to the difference in strength, he will just look like a fly to him.

With such thoughts, Ming Ze waited for Fu Yang to become sane all by himself.

Then suddenly, Fu Yang stopped doing any strange movements and sat near the door.

Taking advantage of Fu Yang's current situation, he decided to try and wake him.

Fortunately, it worked. Calling Fu Yang multiple times brought him back to him.

Looking around, Fu Yang found the same gigantic white room with gold decorations. The room where the two of them got stuck.

Was earlier all just some illusion?

It wasn't real at all... Right?

Fu Yang took out his Energy Phone to see what the current time was.

8:50 P.M

It's been two hours since the last time he checked. So was he under an Illusion for the last two hours?

"Ming Ze... Thank you for waking me up from the illusion. I really... Appreciate it."

Fu Yang was sincere with Ming Ze, if he wasn't here beside him he wouldn't have known that this was all some illusion.

"By the way... While you were under the illusion, there was some sound going on with the gate. I tried opening it but it wouldn't budge."

Hearing the words of Ming Ze, Fu Yang hurriedly looked for the key. Alas, it was still up there.

'So everything was real before the door opened. Now, how to open this gate?'
