Regina was aroused from her sleep when the doctor walked in to check on her after Jake had left to go freshen up that morning.
Regina was glad that Jake wasn't present at the moment, and as such, she would be able to execute the plan she had come up with the previous night.
She had been wondering when and how she would be able to speak with the doctor if Jake was in the room when the doctor came for the routine morning check, but thankfully, she didn't have to worry about that now.
"I see you are awake. Did you sleep well?" The doctor, who seemed to be in his early thirties, asked as he checked her chart, and he couldn't help but wonder why she was still admitted when she was obviously very fine and could leave even now.
"Not really. My whole body aches, and I feel terribly sick," she lied, and he looked at her with interest, wondering if she was a hypochondriac.
"I'm very sorry about that," he said, and she nodded.
