Tan and Jake came back in time to meet Nana and the housekeepers setting the table for dinner, so instead of going to freshen up, Jake and Tan went to join her at the dining.
"Welcome home, baby," Nana said with a smile when Tan hugged her from behind.
The staff carried on with setting the table since they were used to such public displays of affection from Tan and Nana after years of working for them, while Jake stood there awkwardly, not sure whether to excuse them and go upstairs or remain where he stood until they dismissed him.
"This was just what I needed," Tan said, and Nana turned around to give him a kiss.
"Are you sure about that? I'm sure it's because you didn't see your precious daughter here. Else, she would have been just what you needed too," Nana said with a false scowl as she gave her husband a look that dared him to say otherwise.
