"Can I buy you a drink while we talk? Or are you in a haste to go somewhere?" Carter asked, and Ivy sighed.
If she weren't bored and reluctant to go back to an empty house, she would have walked away already, but because she didn't really have anything important to do, she decided to while away the time.
"I'm not in a haste, but that also doesn't mean I'm in the habit of letting strangers buy me drinks. So let's talk here," Ivy said, and Carter looked around.
"Out here?" He asked, and she shrugged.
"If it's important, you should be able to make it quick," She said, and he nodded.
"Alright. I know this might make you uncomfortable, but could you please excuse my behavior just for today?" He asked, and Ivy raised a brow.
"It depends. I guess this is about Gabriel Fox, am I right?" She asked, and he nodded.
