The difficulty of their journey is becoming apparent. What started with just one or two monsters blocking their path has evolved into more and more creatures gathering. Overall, they're not the kind of threat that would cornered this emissary, but it's clear that for ordinary individuals passing through this route, an easy death could be a grim reality.
The darkness of the night forced Aldric to stay relatively close to the carriage. What should have been an advantage for them ends up drawing the attention of the enemies. Spawn monsters keep coming, almost as if unwilling to let their fallen comrades' defeat go unanswered at the hands of the Royal Paladin's spear swings.
"Their numbers are increasing... Can't you use something like the Guild Emblem you mentioned earlier, Sir Aldric?" Luan, unable to offer much assistance, can only watch everything unfold from within the carriage. Of course, if they were foolish enough to step forward, they would only be in the way.
