The Bloodlink Ritual was specifically meant for Safa to subdue a demon in particular, instead becoming bait that attracted other demons to one vessel. From the beginning, Anubis was prepared to face the demon, and that was only what he aimed for — The Evil Within.
However, what bothered him now was the presence of other demons' consciousness within Safa's body. Normally, one demon would only possess one unique skill. For example, the previous black flames, dark energy, or bone-like structures seen in Safa. Most likely, they originated from different demons.
Another supporting evidence was that the now-present Safa wasn't using black flames or dark energy when she attacked. Even when doing so, she retaliated using bone-like structures and physical strength.
Yet, something still felt like it didn't match one to another.
