Not only her way of speaking, but Safa's entire demeanor had changed from her previous self. Anubis realized that prolonging the conversation might not lead to the desired answers, so it was better to get straight to the point.
"Are you The Evil Within?" Anubis asked.
Safa responded with a look of astonishment, displaying clear condescension towards the questioner. "You have access to Bloodlink, yet you know nothing of The Evil Within?" she remarked, "In all our centuries of warfare, I've never come across a vampire as ignorant as you."
"That's true, and it's my own ignorance that has led me to this lack of knowledge. So... can this demon, who appears to know more than I do, enlighten me? After all, I am the one who summoned you forth just now."
"You understand nothing, vampire."
It seemed that trying to pry more information from her would be futile. The demon appeared uninterested in opening her mouth, even when prompted.
