I barely had enough energy to walk around not to mention performing any vigorous activity.
I also had no idea if the real body's constitution would continue to be shitty or I would be able to some myself from coming, considering the fact that I had no exact way of knowing exactly how much mana I had in my body since I hadn't even entered the cultivation stages, but I knew it was barely enough to ensure the daily survival of my body.
My cock throbbed slightly in pain as I looked around trying to find the cupboard and I couldn't help but curse both Nami and the guy called Horan in my mind as I did so.
I found two books I thought I needed and grabbed them before instantly heading out while grumbling under my breath.
"He has a rich daddy so of course he has no problems getting mana or resources," I thought to myself with the two books in my hand as I headed home.
The name of the first book was {Magic Cultivation Realms} and the second was {Magic beasts}. Apart from the both of them, the others seemed pretty redundant since they seemed to have the same content but different book titles.
The second had been more of an impulse pick especially when I saw the title, {Magic Beasts} which scared me but also instantly helped me to recall that in the new world where I was, there were actually dangerous beasts, which was why the huge planting fields were the border between the village and the forest.
Yet the more I thought about it, the more I realized that Canita and Goren, the first two people who I had seen and who were the reason why I had been in the forest and had left me there, probably wanted me dead.
"They probably wanted to remove any traces of my body that were left after sucking all my soul energy, which was most likely my mana core," I thought, wondering where they were and how they felt knowing that I had returned.
"I need to be more careful …" I muttered under my breath as I entered the house, realizing that there was nothing stopping Caen's enemies who craved after his defenseless mana core from coming for his body all over again.
Moreover, I was starting to like the new world I was in, and I had no intention of dying.
The moment I got back to my room, after going through the empty house, I opened the first book, slightly surprised at the many cultivation realms and stages that existed.
"If only the Village chief and his son were able to get to the final stage, which is basically the third stage then getting to the later realms is practically impossible," I thought as I continued to read, realizing that the more mana your core could store would determine your cultivation rank.
"So basically what I need first is Mana…" I muttered under my breath, closing the first book and going ahead to open the second one, slightly surprised by the fact that the book came with lots and lots of pictures, even if they were tremendously scary.
The book mainly described a lot of ferocious beasts, with pictures of what they looked like placed right beside the description.
"This pages are mostly empty…,"
I skipped across them, weirdly nothing one common thing about the beast rank, as the group of beasts were collectively called the Invisible Beasts.
"Does that mean that they can't be seen?" I wondered out loud, feeling my heart thump faster in my chest even as I continued skipping through the pages.
"Elemental Beasts…"
"Transformation Beasts…"
"Death Beasts…"
By then I was done and simply slammed the book shut realizing that I was in greater danger than I thought.
If by chance those invisible or death Beasts passed through the village, we all would die but I would be among the ones that would miserably pass away.
"I need to start cultivating," I said to myself with eyes shining with determination, as I arranged the book on one side of the bed and sat down in the lotus position on the other side.
"Please let the actual aptitude of my own soul be so much better than Caen's own…" I prayee inwardly to no one in particular as I got into position.
My legs were crossed in front of me and both my hands were clasped together into fists at the center of my chest, and I shut my eyes tightly as I seriously made efforts to feel and collect mana from my external environment.
Doing according to how I was told, I sank my consciousness deeper trying to sense the core that was in my body, which took an awful lot of time but I was determined to get as powerful as I could in the only possible way left for me since Transma was completely out of it.
By the time I found my mana core, I was sure that about an hour had gone by and I could feel sweat trickling down my back, armpits and my forehead was already drenched in a way that made me wish I had taken off the multiple folds of clothing I had on.
Still, I raged on with determination. The moment I could solidly feel the blue coloured mana core deep within my body, I was surprised to see how I barely had blue specks of what I assumed to be mana in it and nothing more.
I wasn't discouraged and the next thing I did was to feel around in my external surroundings for mana, already feeling delighted at the idea that once I found it, all I had to do was to draw as much as possible into my mana core.
I tried and tried and was surprised at how hard it was to use the connection from my mana to the outside world to feel for mana, and again after what seemed like an infinite amount of time, I finally did it amazed at the more than six colors of mana dust wavering around me.
Quickly, I stretched my senses out to grab a blue one only to feel myself jerk back to reality.
