"I had some really important work which kept me awake all night."
"Which works?" She asked.
"Some… business related works." Damien lied.
"I hope that's what they were." Arabella said. "I don't want you to do anything related to our matter without informing me." Arabella stated.
Damien acknowledged her order with a small nod.
Damien ate the rest of the food quietly. While Arabella kept sitting there till he was done. Arabella gawked at him. She tried to read him. His slumped shoulders, tired face, sad eyes said it all that he was bothered about something.
She was guessing that the new information that he learnt the day before yesterday is the reason for his current state. Even though she wanted to rub it off all over his face, she didn't. His current state was making her already bleed, she won't be able to bear to see him more in pain.
