A loud explosion echoed. Lightning cracked. A golden aura enveloped the basement over 40 meters wide. A sole figure stood at the center. Karl was able to understand his powers at some extent given Amelithea's help when she touched his head.
There was a number of cultivaction ranks as some were not known unless one reached a given rank. But strangely though humans were limited thus they had a different ranking system. Humans with supernatural abilities were called Espers. They are gifted with abilities able to somehow put them at the same level as the supernatural beings.
Lightning cracked around his body like snakes. Satisfied, he disappeared. He attacked the training dummy from all sides. A golden trail was lift behind wherever he lift.
In the blink of an eye, the dummy was blasted into pieces. Karl dodged to the side as a punch nearly grazed his left cheek. He punched forward but his opponent had disappeared.
"Not bad, let's see your limit then shall we." Saying so, Luxuria disappeared leaving a golden trail and Karl followed. They exchanged blows, clashed, kicked and dodged. Their speed was very overwhelming that they couldn't be seen anymore.
'Good that he is doing good in combat. Then what about this...' She coated her hands with ice. Sweat tickled down Karl's face. A chill ran down his spine. Luxuria was a league above him. He gritted his teeth and held on much to her glee. Fire gathered in his palms and counterattacked.
She smiled broadly and suddenly the temperature dropped. Looking around Karl realised the area was chillingly cold. His energy reserves were drained faster than he could handle. He felt exhausted.
From the start a proud smile never left her face. This demonstration was far from normal. His experience and energy reserves were abnormal for an awakened. Seeing him struggle, she decided to end this with.....
"...."
"Oops..sorry my powers went overdrive. You wait a bit." Luxuria said with an 'apologetic' expression which could make anyone believe her. She was trying very hard not to laugh. Karl was frozen in a weird position. She had frozen him in a statue.
Snap.
With a snap everything returned to normal. Karl blinked. This was a new feeling indeed. Which better person to teach him than her. Though he was soaked in sweat, Luxuria appeared overall clean. She smiled looking at him.
"You will have to fight hard and increase your energy reserves. You have to gain a good insight of your powers. You must be proficient in all don't limit yourself. Otherwise you will limit your potential."
It dawned on him that she was in her night dress. This meant their fight was a child play to her. He took a deep breath and relaxed. He sat cross legged and started absorbing cosmic energy around. Seeing this, she snapped her fingers and drew more energy towards him. She created a barrier around and left.
Back to her room, she took a cold bath and dressed I more comfortable clothes. Her phone buzzed. Her secretary Ling Xi was calling. Her gaze pierced through the walls as she looked at Karl before picking her phone.
"Morning madam, there is an emergency which needs your presence." A soft voice could be heard from the phone. Luxuria knitted her brows. She was now irritated. What was that that those lazy bums couldn't handle for fucker's sake. With this she will have to leave home for sometime which annoyed her morethan anything. Karl needed her assistance now.
"I will be right there, alright." She dropped on the King sized bed. Karl was going to find out more about her sooner than later but she didn't want to tell him now. His surprised face was just that priceless right..., right?
Now her only job was to get him a legal licence for Espers. She wanted him to blend more towards humans. Given her power and influence, this was an easy task to do. She had put aside most of her duties for this moment much to her disappointment at the end.
She disappeared her destination unknown. A golden light shot out of the house and she left. There was a protective barrier around the house. He continued with his cultivation till it was dark outside. Stretching his body, he felt invigorated.
He used divine sense but couldn't spot Luxuria anywhere in the house. His sense was limited to 30 meters. He continued his search but there wasn't any clue about her.
