Max walked in the restroom, his face showing a mix of confusion and concern.
"Oi, what are you doing here? I was finding you all over the—" Max began, but his words caught in his throat when he noticed Aaron's demeanor. "Is, uh, everything alright?" he asked, his voice laced with genuine concern, as he rested his hand on Aaron's shoulder.
Clara, always straightforward, jumped in to explain the situation. "He saw Serena kissing Ethan," she said, her words hanging heavy in the air. Aaron's eyes met Clara's, a silent plea for her not to reveal too much, but it was too late.
"Wait, what? And who's Ethan?" Max asked, his confusion deepening.
"One of Aaron's team partners," Clara replied, her tone matter-of-fact.
Meanwhile, Aaron continued washing his face, trying to drown out the conversation, but he couldn't ignore Max's probing.
