Otonia and I finally made it to the metropolis of Hadrianopolis. What we found at the Baroness's estate was shocking. The mansion that was her home was a smoldering heap of rubble. All the other buildings were in a similar state. The destruction is reminiscent of the ruined cities of my world. There was no sign of survivors either. Still, there was hope that the Baroness was still alive. A group of warriors searched the ruins. The same ick that chased Lady Seia.
