Sex, a word too ambiguous for anyone's liking, especially when it comes to Ana's liking. Maybe that is why, as the man puts his dick in front of her face, she feels sick to her stomach. Even if she has done it before countless times by now, thanks to Brandon. She could feel the terrible bile rising up to her throat by just the sight of it. And she has no intention of taking it in her. So, she looks up at him and musters the sweetest smile she could at the moment and shows him the bottle of wine they have bought on their way here.
"Shall we have our drink first?" Ana asks sweetly while standing up from the bed. Harry watches her closely before nodding and pulling up his pants back on place. She pours the wine into two glasses and hands one to him.
"Um, so tell me something about yourself." At this, he tilts his head and looks at her with slight amusement.
"Tell me what do you want to know." Comes his simple response, yet enough to surprise Ana. She clears her throat.
"You actually figured it out, didn't you?" She has seen it in his eyes already. The realisation. His laugh fills the hotel room.
"Yes, somewhat. But you can tell me now." Harry says while he leans against the headboard of the bed.
Now, there is really no way to get out of this situation smoothly. This man will not be lulled into het sweet talks like the previous ones have been. He seems different. He is not even forcing her into the bed with him like the last one had done.
"Okay. I am Ana Mirabilis. Brandon, my step-father, is the one who has sent me to you to persuade you for the deal." She says it all in one breath.
"Oh. So, it is all Brandon." He murmers to himself.
"Uhh...I am sorry! I really did not mean to trick uou into signing the deal with him. If you want, you can just refuse to him. Tell him that you did not find me attractive and that you can't be talked or seduced into making the deal with him." Ana proposes quietly, her voice hopeful that Harry would agree on that. Maybe then Brandon would not force her into seducing men for him anymore.
"Now, why would I do that?" Harry muses. "When I know that it would all be a lie." This brings heat to her face, but she is terrified from the inside. The last time...
"Don't worry, sweetheart. I would not do anything to you. And, I am really sorry for thinking that you are one of those women who come to such clubs for one night stands."
His confession surprises Ana. He really is different from those men who think of women as mere things. She smiles at him, genuinity clear in her eyes. Returning her smile,he stands up wearing his blazer.
"I will handle Brandon. Go home now and yeah, don't tell him that we talked about this."
"Never!" She replies almost immediately. "Thank you." This fills him with warmth. He pats her cheek twice before exiting the room. The smile on her lips does not falter as she too makes her way out of the hotel room. This time, she does not have anything to regret. Today must be one of her lucky days after so long, unlike those dark and unwanted days like the day three years back when all her real misery started with one sided love confession. With a shake of her head, she forces herself to forget all about that, because it is worthy of her forgetting since it was all in the past. But one thing about past is that it follows everyone, until it somehow makes its way back to the present.
