Hearing your tone, the creature bares tiny, sharp teeth and growls protectively. "It's okay," Gabriel says, "he's not going to hurt me." Then to you, "I'm sorry, professor, I know, she popped into our dimension when I tried out a new way to prevent summoning search information from flowing through a practitioner."
The creature snuffles the air, its muzzle swaying this way and that.
One of the rules practitioners follow is not to keep living creatures from other dimensions. You can bring them across to study, as long as they go back home when you're done.
