"Jayden, a word outside the classroom, please?" Jayden betrays no nervousness as he steps into the hall with you. "I know you used a divination pattern on the test."
"Professor. That would be against the honor code." The gray trail moves in concert with Jayden. "It's a bold claim to make given the middling grade I'll get. Sorry, am likely to get."
"I took precautions." And they succeeded, at least in part. But Jayden shows no remorse for his actions or fear of getting caught. "Even though your divination didn't work, though, any attempt is against the honor code."
Jayden's pleasant mask drops. You step back from his intense expression. "Professor .. You have no proof. You chose to protect your test by disrupting divination energy rather than selecting patterns that directly sense divination attempts. You'd have to have a divination pattern in hand that you could link to me. Which you can't do." He moves into your personal space. "You're a clever man. Surely you know my mother, Megan Irby. She's a long-time donor to the college. A Practicum member, it goes without saying. She'd be very displeased to hear that her son's being harassed by a junior faculty member of no note."
