Manish pushes the glass study door open with a foot, breaking your train of thought. You hadn't heard him leave. His arms are full of books. "Look what I've got!"
"A one-way ticket to boredom?" Darcy says. "Though maybe that'll be less boring than Bomomsay Clestenrogo's mind mapping business."
"Hey!" you say.
"I know you like reasoning from first principles or whatever," Manish tells you, "but it'll be faster to read what other practitioners have tried." He drops the books on the table.
Darcy eyes the stack. It's almost up to her nose. "I take it back. That's definitely more boring."
Manish sinks into a chair. "We don't have to read them, I guess."
Darcy slaps the table. "Enough thinking. More doing. I say we try it out. Get some actual practice in."
Between Manish moping about reading books and Darcy wanting to fire off some magic, your study group is flying apart.
