"Of course," he says. "You look very tired. I mean…" He shakes his head, looking thoroughly embarrassed, as you raise an eyebrow. "I'm sure…well, I'm sure that a night's sleep would do you the world of good. Just in terms of…mental health."
You smile, walking along beside him in what seems, in your exhausted state, to be a rather companionable silence.
Several Days Later
You wake with a start, your eyes wide as you stare at your ceiling. Once again, you've dreamed that you were back in the depths of hell, the furious eyes of Renzfal looking down at you. Maybe it'll be the same dream for the rest of your life.
With an effort, you push yourself out of bed, yawning. Your body still aches worse than you've ever known before. Still, it could have been worse. You suppose, under the circumstances, you should consider yourself extremely lucky.
There's a knock at the door.
