Sonia considers this, then nods. "A choice between flying or sprinting towards a doorway on all fours with sharp teeth," she says. "I can see the dilemma. All right, then, mixed teams it is."
You wait to hear if there are any other comments or questions, but no one says anything else.
"We'll meet on the school field in fifteen minutes," you say, "and then we'll move out. Okay, get going, everyone."
After a few moments of looking at each other, the students start to file out of the library, both species taking pains to keep some distance from each other.
You look at Michelle, who gives you a shrug. "Could have gone worse," she says. "I assumed I'd be scraping you off the ceiling by this point."
"I'll take that as a win," you say, looking over the room. Through the general exodus of students, you notice two groups who don't appear to be leaving. One group is composed of the still resolutely shirtless Max and another werewolf; this one is shorter, slimmer, and has dark brown skin. Both of them are having what seems like an intense confrontation. On the other side of the room, Sonia is talking quietly yet emphatically to Val, who is mostly looking at the floor.
