You nod. It seems to be the expected answer.
Lady Rastan clicks her fingers, the noise echoing around the entrance hall. In response, the light in the hall intensifies, growing brighter. You swallow. Magic, of course, is simply a part of life, but seeing it performed so effortlessly is another matter entirely.
"Now," she continues, "you have an appointment with the headmistress, and it would be best not to keep her waiting. However, I feel that it would be…appropriate to first give you a warning."

Lady Rastan fixes you with a stern gaze, or at least ramps up the intensity of the stern gaze that she was already employing. For a moment—just long enough that you notice it—the ambient background noise of the building goes dead silent. It doesn't strike you as just a coincidence.
The vice principal continues to regard you for several seconds before speaking again. "I am aware of the relationship between you and our headmistress, and I am also aware that some topics are difficult to broach between family members, which is why I am telling you this now: you are not welcome here."
