Nicholas was in his office when a text messages was sent to him. It was the person he had hired years ago to help him track down the location of the person he thought had died and the reason for his recurring nightmares.
" We almost found her but she got lost again. This time around, we are sure that she is in the country" As soon as Nicholas read the message, he put on a call to the investigator.
" Where was she spotted before" Nicholas asked him when he picked up the phone not bothering to exchange pleasantries. This might not sound like it is very helpful but the face that she was spotted in the country brought hope to Nicholas. He still felt guilty about everything.
" It was far away from your current location. In the opposite side of the country, Haller City" The investigator said also skipping the pleasantries part.
This was part of what Nicholas liked about him. He never bothered with small talks and he was damn good at his job.
