Synopsis
I never expected that my life would take such a dramatic turn but it did. I was Amy, a young woman who had never experienced true love or kindness. I was a slave, bought by the alpha of another pack, Jacob. I felt as if he had rescued me but I soon realised that his intentions were far from noble. He started to maltreat and abuse me, using me as his mate. I could not take it anymore and so I ran away. I had no idea where I was going, but I knew I needed to get away. Luck was on my side when I ran into another alpha, Keith. He was kind and protective of me, treating me with respect and love. Little did I know that I was actually royalty from Jacob's pack. I had been kidnapped at birth and no one knew of my existence until now. I was presented with an impossible choice. Should I go back to my family who had missed me and Jacob, who had suddenly become remorseful, or remain with Keith, the alpha who treated me right? I had no idea what to do. I had to choose between the life I had always known, and the life I had always wanted. In the end, I had to make the toughest decision of all.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

I could feel the labored breath of my friend, Liza, as we ran as fast as we could away from the paw heart wolf pack.

"Liza, we can do this, just a few more meters. We are almost there" I shouted as I could barely breathe as I ran.

She smiled at me as we Continued running until she looked back and saw Caesar and Scott.

We had been tracked by Caesar and Scott, two of the leaders of the pack, and we had no chance of outrunning them. I glanced back at them and saw them gaining on us. I knew that if we didn't make it away, we would be in trouble.

I heard Liza stumble behind me and I quickly turned around to see her sprawled on the ground. I ran to her side and knelt down. I could see the pain in her eyes, but she was determined to get up. She put her hand on my arm and shook her head.

"Go, Amy. Don't worry about me. Just keep running," she said.

I nodded, knowing that I had to leave her behind. I could see the fear in her eyes, but she was determined to get up. I leaned down and gave her a hug before standing and turning towards the woods. I knew that if I could make it to the trees, I would be safe.

But as I ran, I could still hear the growls of the wolves behind me. I knew that they were getting closer and I ran faster, my heart pounding in my chest. I could feel the tears streaming down my face, but I kept going. I had to make it to the trees.

Finally, I reached the trees. I quickly ran into the woods and hid behind a tree, hoping that the wolves wouldn't be able to find me. I looked back, but I couldn't see them. I could still hear their growls in the distance, but they seemed to be fading away.

I looked back towards where I had left Liza and said a silent prayer for her safety. I had no idea what had happened to her, but I knew that I had to keep going. I had to escape from the paw heart wolf pack. I had to make it out alive.

I took a deep breath and began running again, my feet pounding against the ground. I looked up at the night's sky, thankful for my escape for helping me escape successfully but still paying for the moon goddess to shine her luck on me and let me make it to the end.

If I could escape and find a safe ground, I promised the moon goddess that I would not be heartless, I would go back for Liza and the others. I knew that I had to go back for Liza especially, but I also knew that it would be too dangerous.

I was soon running out of breath as I ran so I stopped at the back of a tree and bent to catch my breath before I continued. I looked ahead and saw Liza struggling to run. She did not give up and that was what I had liked about her. She was a fighter, a warrior and she was the one who gave me hope of escape when I completely lost hope. I was still smiling as I sat there silently when I saw Caesar and Scott come up behind her and grab her.

I heard her screams and wails but I could do nothing.

My heart pounded as I watched Liza being dragged away by Caesar and Scott, the alpha's children. I wanted to do something, anything to help her, but I was rooted to the spot, my feet glued to the ground. I wanted to scream, to shout, to cry, but I knew I had to stay quiet if I wanted to stay alive.

I was so focused on Liza that I didn't hear Caesar coming up behind me until he was almost upon me. I spun around and saw his face contorted in a hateful sneer. He had seen me.

I turned and ran, my feet pounding against the ground. Caesar's angry shouts echoed behind me, and I could hear him getting closer. I ran faster, my lungs and legs burning in protest, but I had to get away. I had to save myself.

I was so focused on running that I didn't realize I had reached the highway until I was already in the middle of it. I stopped, my heart racing, and looked around in despair. Cars were coming at me from both directions, going at full speed. I was about to turn and run back, but then I felt a presence behind me.

I spun around and saw Caesar, his eyes glowing with rage. He was no longer a man, but a werewolf, his fur glinting in the moonlight. He was running towards me, and I knew I had no time to waste.

I turned and sprinted towards the other side of the highway, my feet pounding against the pavement. I could feel Caesar's breath on my neck, his claws tearing at my clothes. He was so close, I could almost feel his hot breath on my skin.

And then, out of nowhere, a car came into view. The headlights illuminated the highway, and I knew I was saved. I ran faster, my heart pounding in my chest. I was almost there, I could feel it.

But then, a loud roar echoed behind me, and I felt a hand grab me. I screamed and tried to pull away, but it was too late. Caesar had me.

I felt myself being dragged backwards, and I screamed again. I kicked and struggled, but it was no use. Caesar was too strong.

Just as I was about to give up, the car came closer. It honked its horn, and Caesar looked up. His eyes widened, and he released me. I fell to the ground, my heart pounding.

The car stopped inches away from us, and the driver stuck his head out the window. He yelled something, but I couldn't make it out.

Caesar growled and stepped away from me. I got to my feet, my legs shaking, and looked around. Caesar was gone, and the driver was still shouting something.

The driver opened the door and got out, holding a gun. He shouted at me, his face furious. I didn't understand what he was saying, but I knew I had to run.

I turned and ran, my feet pounding against the ground. I didn't know where I was going, but I had to get away.

And then, I heard a loud roar behind me. Caesar had found me again.
