Chapter 6 - Old friends

(A/N): English is not my language, so if you find a grammatical error let me know; 🇧🇷

Day dawned in Townsville and Bastion woke up after having a good, peaceful night's sleep. The boy stood up yawning before standing and stretching to shake the sleep out of his system and after a few exercises he got a smile on his face before walking to the bathroom to start his day.

After showering, the boy quickly put on his clothes and his inseparable scarf before quickly going downstairs and going straight to the kitchen. Elizabeth would soon arrive from the trip she had taken to Metropolis and Bastion wanted to prepare a special breakfast for his sister.

A short time later the table was ready and Bastion had prepared several things, cakes, pies, juice, coffee, jam and several other things and that was when he heard the sound of the door latch.

Elizabeth: I'm home!

The boy was excited to see that his sister had arrived and quickly walked to the door to welcome her.

Bastion: Elizabeth, I'm glad you're here! I-

He soon stopped mid-sentence when he noticed that his sister's hair was a little messy as well as her clothes which were a little dirty while she had a bandage on her forehead.

Bastion was surprised and worried to see the state his sister was in as he walked up to her with a worried expression on his face.

Bastion: Elizabeth, what happened? Why this dressing? Are you well?

The eldest smiled at her younger brother's concern as he inspected the bruise on his forehead when she spoke, trying to calm him down.

Elizabeth: Hey, calm down little brother, I'm fine, it was just a scare.

Bastion: That doesn't reassure me much, what happened?

Elizabeth: It's a long story, but first I want to take a nice shower so I can relax.

Baston: Okay then.

Just after...

The two brothers could be seen sitting at the table drinking coffee together when the eldest spoke with a smile.

Elizabeth: Aaah I love it when you cook, you're much better than me on the stove.

Bastion: What would you do without me?

Elizabeth: *sarcastic* Haha very funny.

Bastion: Now tell me, what happened on the trip back here?

Elizabeth: Well, it started right after the train left...

(FlashBack)

It was already night at Metropolis train station, Elizabeth was seen entering one of the carriages while carrying a suitcase containing one of the replacement parts for Townsville's protective shield.

As soon as she enters, the girl soon takes her place next to the window when the doors close and the conductor announces that the train is about to leave for its destination.

The great metal transport departed the great metropolis, moving further and further into the night until the great city was no longer in sight. The trip would be a little long and Elizabeth wouldn't get home until the next day.

Feeling tired, she leaned back in her seat as she let out a long sigh before her vision started to get heavy as she began to sleep.

A few hours have passed since then and everything was calm on the train as all the passengers slept peacefully, but this peace would not last long with the disorder that was about to arrive.

Unbeknownst to anyone, three figures were seen soaring through the sky as they followed the train closely when one of them spoke dissatisfiedly.

???3: Not yet? How much longer will this take?!

???2: I'm also starting to get tired of waiting. Are we going to get what we came for or not?

???1: You two are pretty hollow cucks, right? We're hoping the train will be as far away from Metropolis as possible so that things will be easier for us. Or would you rather have to face Superman and who knows, maybe the entire Justice League?

???2: Uh, no thanks, I don't want to have to face an entire team of heroes.

???3: Even though the idea of fighting with the League seems cool, I don't think I really feel like getting arrested today.

???1: That's better.

The leader of the three then looks back and when he sees that Metropolis is already out of sight, he speaks with a smile.

???1: It's time, ready brothers?

???2: I was born ready!

???3: Okay, let's take this train!

The three gain arrogant smiles on their faces before descending the skies heading towards the train while leaving a colorful trail of light behind.

Before everyone knew it, the train suddenly braked causing several of the passengers to leave their seats and end up hitting something, this was the case with Elizabeth who ended up falling to the ground and hitting her head hard with the jolt of the locomotive. , which caused a cut to appear on his forehead as blood ran down it.

She and the other passengers stood up, confused by what was happening, when three loud bangs were heard on the roof of the carriage. It was when the roof was opened as if it were made of cardboard, those responsible for that were the three figures who now had devilish smiles on their faces that scared the passengers when they recognized who those three were.

The invaders floated down through the hole they had made while laughing at the people's frightened expressions.

Random Man: T-It's the Rowdy Boys!

Random Woman: W-What?! But what are these three doing here?!

Brick: Here's the thing, no one plays the hero and you don't get hurt. *laughter*

Brick is the oldest of the three, he is a young boy of 15 or 16 years old, with strong red eyes and fair skin, he has long, messy red hair and wears a backwards black and red baseball cap. His jacket, being red, white, gold and black, has a collar that covers his neck, while he wears a white shirt underneath, his pants are black with a red hem and his shoes are white with red details.

Butch: We're in a hurry, so don't waste our time. *laughter*

Butch was the middle brother, he was between 15 and 16 years old, had strong green eyes and spiky black hair and fair skin. He wears a green, black, white and gold jacket, with a collar that covers his neck and wears a light green shirt underneath. His pants are black with a green hem and his shoes are white with green details.

Boomer: We're looking for something, so the sooner we get what we want, the better off you guys will be. *laughter*

Boomer in turn was the youngest brother of the three, at 15 or 16 years old he has strong blue eyes, fair skin, freckles on his cheeks and short blonde hair parted in the middle. He wears a blue, black, white and gold jacket, with a collar that covers his neck and underneath he wears a white shirt. His pants are black with a blue hem and his shoes are white with blue details.

The three looked around seeing several suitcases before nodding to each other and using their X-Ray Vision to look inside all of the suitcases to find what they were looking for. Soon they see what they wanted, Elizabeth's suitcase that held the replacement piece for Townsville's shield.

Brick smiled at this as he walked towards her being followed by his brothers as the other passengers made way for them while shaking with fear in their eyes.

The boys approached Elizabeth with devilish grins as their leader spoke.

Brick: You have something we want.

Elizabeth, however, was undeterred by this as she responded fearlessly.

Elizabeth: What if I don't want to give it to you?

Butch: We're not asking.

As soon as he said that, the other two held Elizabeth tightly while the redhead took the suitcase from her before opening it and smiling when he saw the piece they wanted. However, the joy of the three did not last long when police sirens were heard approaching the place as well as the sound of an approaching helicopter.

Boomer: We're in trouble, brothers!

Butch: Really? Do not tell me.

Brick: Whatever! We already have what we want, let's get out!

The other two nod before throwing Elizabeth on top of the other passengers before the three run to the opening in the train's roof and jump out before flying through the sky carrying the briefcase with the part to fix the shield's generator.

(End of Flash Back)

Elizabeth: The police arrived at the scene, but those three thieves had already fled with the piece.

Bastion: Those three dared to hurt you!

He growled as he clenched his fists with anger in his eyes as his sister placed a hand on his shoulder to calm him down.

Elizabeth: Calm down Bastion, his big sister is stronger than you think.

She then gives the boy a smile that makes him calm down a little when he asks.

Bastion: I see, but what exactly did they take?

Elizabeth: The replacement stabilizer.

Upon hearing this, the gray-eyed young man placed his hand on his chin as he became thoughtful about the matter. He had heard about the Rioters before, but from what he heard, those three just liked to cause trouble and try to defeat the Powerpuffs and even if they were stronger, they always lost. There was no apparent reason for them to take that stabilizer.

Bastion: That doesn't make any sense. What would those three want with a stabilizer?

Elizabeth: I asked myself the same thing, I have no idea why, but it shouldn't be a good thing.

Bastion: And now? What do you plan to do now that the piece has been stolen?

Elizabeth: First I have to talk to the Professor about this and try to find another replacement part somewhere else.

She then sighed as she placed her hands over her face in annoyance. Bastion upon seeing this cast a worried look at his sister before asking.

Bastion: Are you okay?

Elizabeth looked at her younger brother to see the concern in her eyes before giving a small smile.

Elizabeth: It was just a scare, but I'll be fine. So, how was dinner at the Professor's house?

Young Mutaito placed his hand on his chin remembering last night before speaking.

Bastion: It was fun, I got to talk a lot with the Professor and catch up, he seemed very happy to see me too. *laughter*

Elizabeth: Hehe I told you he would enjoy your visit.

Bastion: I was also able to talk to the girls a little. They have very different personalities and tastes, but they are still pretty cool.

Elizabeth: Oh, stud, you really don't waste time.

The girl's comment caused an almost imperceptible blush to appear on Bastion's cheeks and he looked away as he snorted.

Bastion: Stop with this love cupid thing, you're starting to sound like grandpa.

Elizabeth: Speaking of which, Grandpa will be very happy to know that his grandson is starting to get some girlfriends. *laughter*

Bastion: Don't you even dare tell him! He kept saying that Juliet and I would end up becoming a couple when we grew up, remember?

Elizabeth: *laughs* I do remember, and if I remember correctly, you two didn't mind it at all.

The boy looked away again when this time his face started to turn heavily red as little memories of his best friend flashed through his mind, from the moment they met until the last time they saw each other when Juliet moved in with her boyfriend. father when Bastion was 10 years old.

Elizabeth: It's been a while since you saw her, right?

Bastion: I already... I miss you...

Elizabeth: Oh don't worry little brother, I bet before you know it, she'll show up.

Elizabeth gained a naughty smile on her face that didn't go unnoticed by her brother who raised a confused eyebrow at her, but decided to ignore it when his thoughts went to the memories he had when he was a child and played with a little blonde girl with emerald green eyes.

Bastion: (Thoughts) How is Julie...?

Returning to the real world, he looks at the clock on the wall showing that it was time to go to school and seeing this, Bastion soon got up before picking up his backpack.

Bastion: Well, I have to go.

Elizabeth: So enjoy, you're in for a surprise.

The boy gave his sister a confused look before deciding to ignore it and continue on his way. He picked up his skateboard and his arm protectors as he left the house before looking at those objects that brought back old memories.

Bastion began to remember when he got those armbands, they had been a gift he had received from Julie a long time ago.

(FlashBack)

A few years ago in the city of Peacefulville, in front of Professor Sebastion's house, little Bastion, aged 8, was seen playing with Julie, an 8-year-old girl, with blond hair and green eyes.

That day Julie was trying to teach Bastion how to skateboard, but her attempts to teach him proved futile, as the boy always ended up falling to the ground.

After yet another attempt that resulted in the little boy ending up with his face planted on the ground, Julie sighs tiredly as the boy mumbles in defeat as he remains where he is as his friend walks over to him.

Julie: Come on short, this time you can do it.

Bastion: That's what you said the last 237 times I tried before I fell.

Julie: But Bast, this time I know you can do it!

Bastion: You already said that too, Juju.

Julie: But why are you so sad if you didn't even get hurt from the falls?

Bastion: I'm fine on the outside, but my pride has been hurt.

Julie: Ah Bast, get up!

Bastion: To fall again? No thanks.

The girl sighs at this before bringing her hand to her chin as she thinks of something to help her friend as an idea pops into her mind before she starts to walk away as the boy looks up and asks in confusion.

Bastion: Where are you going?

Julie: Grab something, I'll be right back. Do not leave!

The boy just sighs before getting up, grabbing his skateboard and sitting on the sidewalk while waiting for her to return.

Minutes later, little Bastion could be seen playing with the wheels of his skateboard as he tapped his finger on them causing them to spin as he repeated the same action over and over again.

With his super hearing, he heard footsteps coming in the distance getting closer and closer before he saw that Julie was already returning while she seemed to have something hidden behind her back. Tempted to find out what it was, Bastion thought about using his X-Ray vision, but changed his mind as he decided it would be better to ask when the girl stopped in front of him.

Julie: I came back and brought a surprise!

Bastion: What is it?

Julie: Duh, if I told you it wouldn't be a surprise. Now extend your arms.

This made the boy gain a confused expression, but he still did as she said.

Julie: Now, close your eyes~.

Bastion: Juju-

Julie: Shhh! Close!

The boy sighed before complying with the request and seeing that the boy had his eyes closed, Julie then pulled out two red arm protectors before placing them on Bastion. The boy tried to take a peek to see what the girl was up to, but Julie soon noticed and stopped him from continuing.

The little girl soon finished her work before looking at Bastion to see that he looked good with the braces on before letting out a whistle.

Julie: You can open your eyes now.

Doing as he was told, Bastion looked down at his arms to see that Julie had placed pads on them. Confused by that, the boy asked.

Bastion: But what?

Julie: It's my gift to you.

Bastion: Arm guards? Is it to make me try skateboarding again?

Julie: Yes, but these are no ordinary armbands.

The boy's gaze became curious as he looked at the gift.

Julie: They are courage armbands, every time you feel afraid they will help you have courage, not to mention that it is a way for you to remember me when I am not around.

The boy with the mark on his cheeks looked at her before blinking a few times and getting a happy smile on his face before hugging the girl who soon returned the gesture.

Bastion: Thank you Juju.

Julie: You're welcome, Bast. Now, shall we try again?

Bastion: Let's go and this time I'll make it!

Once again the boy got on his skateboard before taking a deep breath and looking at his friend who gave him a thumbs up to continue. With his confidence restored, Bastion then stamped his foot to get the skateboard moving and before he knew it, he was already walking smoothly.

He gained a happy smile as he looked at the blonde and spoke happily.

Bastion: I did it, Juju!

The girl waved and cheered for him before grabbing her own skateboard and riding alongside him.

The rest of the day passed with the two playing and laughing together as they tried to do some tricks that sometimes ended up going wrong, but that only made them have even more fun.

(End of Flash Back)

Back to current times...

Bastion smiled at the old memory of her friend and the good times they had together. As he walked down the street, he looked at the skateboard beneath his feet as he remembered when Julie had given it to him the day she moved from Peacefulville.

(FlashBack)

In Peacefulville, the sky that used to be clear and bright, today found itself cloudy and dark as rain clouds began to form accompanied by thunder.

In front of Julie's house, a moving truck was seen ready to leave for the girl's new home. Professor Sebastion and Elizabeth were seen saying goodbye to Julieta's father who had to move due to a job opportunity elsewhere.

Speaking of Julie, she and Bastion were now seen as 10 years old, but the happy smiles that the two always used to have were replaced by crestfallen and sad expressions.

For a while the two were silent until the boy decided to speak.

Bastion: You're already going, right...?

Julie: *sniffles* Yeah...

Bastion: Do you... really have to go?

Julie: I have...

The two remained head to head as they tried to hold back the tears that would soon come.

Bastion: *sniffles* You know Julie... y-you can cry if you want... *sniffles* there's nothing wrong with that, go ahead.

Julie: Who said I want to cry?! And-And then if there's no big deal, why don't you cry?! *sniffles*

Bastion: N-No... you first. *cry*

Julie: Oh, you crybaby! *cry*

The two then look up at each other to reveal that they both had tears streaming down their eyes as they began to sink into sadness.

They then get closer to each other as they hug each other tightly as if one of them would disappear if the other didn't hold him tightly. The world seemed to disappear for the two as the clouds above them began to darken as a light rain began to fall.

Julie's father soon got into the car and called for his daughter.

Julie: *cries* I'm coming!

She then reluctantly breaks the hug as she wipes away her tears while little Bastion does the same while sniffling crestfallen. The girl then holds his hand before getting his attention.

Julie: H-Hey, this isn't goodbye, it's just see you later.

The gray eyed boy just nodded in response as he walked with her to the car. They sadly let go of each other's hands as the girl got into the car as she held back from crying again.

The door closed and through the closed glass, Julie could see her best friend with his head down as tears continued to fall down his face as the rain began to increase, but the boy didn't seem to care about that.

Juliet's heart broke at the sight before she looked at her skateboard and had an idea. She then opened the car window before extending her skateboard to Bastion who looked at her in confusion.

Bastion: *cries* No Julie, it's yours.

Julie: C-Come on, cry, take it before I start crying too. *sniffles*

The boy carefully picked up the skateboard before handing his to the girl who received it warmly.

Julie: Thanks, *sniffle* now we'll always remember each other.

Bastion just nodded in response and Julie raised her pinky finger at him.

Julie: Let's make a promise. *sniffle* We will always remember each other and we will see each other again someday. Promise?

The boy sniffled as he extended his pinky which intertwined with hers.

Bastion: I promise. *sniffles*

The two slowly let go and the window closed as the car started to move. Julie looked out the window to see Bastion waving at her sadly while holding the skateboard she had given him with extreme care.

Little by little the two lost sight of each other when the car disappeared in the cold rain that was now falling heavily on the boy who collapsed in his sadness.

Elizabeth and his grandfather soon came over to comfort him when the boy hugged his sister while sniffling before she returned the gesture and his grandfather placed his hand on his head and patted him trying to comfort the boy's sadness.

(End of Flash Back)

Back to reality, Bastion stopped in his tracks waiting for the traffic light to change as he wiped away a tear before gaining a small smile at those old memories.

Bastion: I miss you...

The traffic light then changed and he started walking again as he gained a small smile when he looked at the armbands and the skateboard that Julie had given him and although he had had them for a while, Bastion kept them fondly.

Later that day...

Bastion could be seen wandering aimlessly around the school yard as he waited for class time to start.

Unbeknownst to him, from the second floor of the school, Sten and his group of bully friends watched him with mischievous expressions and smiles as they held several balloons filled with water and laughed at the prank they were going to play with Bastion.

Sten: Take a look guys, Mutaito is there.

Upon seeing his target, the school team's quarterback smiled as he picked up a bucket full of balloons.

Steven: Haha! This is perfect! When this is over he'll look like a wet rat... more so than usual. *laughter*

He and his friends laughed at this as the blonde got ready to shoot the first balloon.

Bastion in turn yawned without realizing that the bullies were watching him. That's when Sten threw the first balloon hard.

Bastion soon heard with his super hearing the sound of something coming towards him when he widened his eyes alertly and by pure instinct he crouched down as the balloon passed him and hit the ground a few meters away from the target.

Upon realizing what was happening, the boy in the scarf pretended to have bent down to tie his shoes, pretending that his movement had been a coincidence, but Sten didn't seem very happy that he had escaped.

Bully 1: Wow Sten, you made a mistake!

Sten: Grrrrr bad luck. The sucker is going to fall now!

He then grabs another of the balloons when he decides to get his target's attention.

Sten: Hey, Puny Mutaito!

Bastion, who had already noticed the defender's presence, looked up at the window only to see Sten throw another water balloon towards him.

In one swift movement, the blue-haired boy rolled forward like a police officer as the balloon hit the spot where he was previously standing.

But Sten wasn't going to give him rest, as he threw another balloon which Bastion dodged by doing a small backflip as a small crowd of students gathered around.

The blonde-haired defender threw a few more balloons, which the gray-eyed boy dodged without any problems. Sten growled at that as he grabbed another of the balloons and threw it with all the strength he had in his arm.

The water bomb shot like a bullet towards Bastion, but the blue-haired boy dodged it with a quick spin before grabbing the balloon, careful not to burst it as he threw it back towards Sten who hid. closing the window as the water balloon exploded upon contact with the glass.

Bastion's flashy actions ended up surprising the other students who looked at him in shock as they saw him escape the balloons with ease, demonstrating good reflexes and good aim when returning the balloon.

Sten and the others then began to comment on the boy's act.

Sten: But what?

Random Girl 1: Wow!

Random Boy 1: Damn, look at Mutaito.

Random Girl 2: Did you see what he did? Amazing!

Seeing that he was drawing too much attention to himself, Bastion sighed as he realized that he would have to let himself be hit.

Bastion: (Thoughts) Um... I'm going to ruin my secret identity... (Out of Thoughts) Come on quarterback, you can't even hit one-

Unfortunately he was interrupted when he allowed himself to be hit by two water balloons that hit him squarely in the face, exploding leaving the boy and his clothes soaked from head to toe.

Sten and his friends continued to soak him while the other students laughed at this causing Bastion to hang his head with a defeated sigh as he was humiliated in front of the entire school who were now laughing at the situation.

The defender grabbed another balloon and prepared to throw it at Bastion, who closed his eyes just waiting to be hit, but this time that wouldn't happen.

Amidst the crowd, a girl pushed her way through all the students before standing protectively in front of the drenched boy while opening her arms to stop the bullies from continuing their prank.

Sten, in turn, was surprised to see that girl there protecting Mutaito when he gritted his teeth and spoke angrily.

Sten: Come on girl, or you'll be next!

The girl, however, did not let that affect her.

???: Oh come on, you don't know how to play. If I had managed to hit a target without pressure, would we have lost to Colégio High Class?

Upon hearing that, the defender blinked in surprise that the girl had reminded everyone about the defeat they had suffered in the last football game they had with a rival school. Seeing that she had hit a nerve in the blonde, the girl decided to tease him some more.

???: You choked like a cat on a hairball and let High Class take home the victory, or am I wrong, Sten?

The crowd of students then began to boo the defender who growled angrily at the girl who made him pay a piss in front of everyone, he began to squeeze the balloon in his hand with so much force that his bladder couldn't handle the pressure and ended up exploding in the air. blonde completely drenching him.

Bastion was surprised to say the least, he didn't expect anyone to be willing to defend him, let alone a girl and even less that she would put the stuck up bully defender in his place.

He turned his gaze to his savior who gave him a smile and a thumbs up before pulling him by the arm.

???: Come on, let's find a place for you to dry off.

The blue one in turn didn't argue as the girl guided him around the school while Sten watched the two angrily before leaving while huffing and grumbling.

Soon...

At the moment, young Mutaito and his heroine were seen in the back of the school while Bastion spread his black tank top and white scarf on a clothesline so they could dry a little so he could wear them since he had no other clothes with him.

The girl who saved him earlier was seen leaning against the school wall with her hands clasped behind her head as she observed the beautiful physique Bastion had as she gained a small blush and looked away from him before throwing him a towel.

???: Here.

Bastion took the sheet and wiped his bluish hair and face before looking at the girl to see her watching him with a small blush on her face before looking away from him. This made the boy a little shy as he crossed his arms and looked away.

His gaze then went to his clothes on the clothesline, specifically his long white scarf. Seeing him soaked like that made Bastion grit his teeth and clench his fists tightly as that scarf was a gift from his late parents.

The girl noticed the angry look he had and to try to cheer him up a little she tried to speak.

???: Anything is better than staying there and taking it in your head.

Bastion glanced at her before responding somewhat sullenly.

Bastion: How is it? Staying there and taking it in your head is the survival of nerds.

???: You know that doing nothing might not be-

Bastion: And what else can I do? I never asked to move cities, or schools, or to act smart and be Sten's punching bag.

The girl then stops him from continuing as she places her hand on his shoulder before speaking in a serious tone.

???: You can stop there. I won't let you forget your great intelligence.

Bastion: If it's big, why can't I solve my problems?

???: Big, but immature. Give melon head a break. I'm sorry about what happened, Sten can be a pain in the ass, but even he has a little bit of kindness deep down.

Bastion: *sarcastic* Kindness? That scalded cat? I believe in you.

The two then looked into each other's eyes with serious looks and stayed like that for a moment before they began to laugh playfully at each other.

Bastion: *laughs* Thanks for the help and for putting Sten in his place.

???: You're welcome, newbie. It was good to see you again.

Bastion: Again? We met? What is your name?

He scratched his forehead in confusion as the girl giggled at her expression before speaking.

???: What was it Bast? Don't you remember me~?

She then got closer to his face as she spoke in a teasing tone.

???: Come on big guy, take a closer look~.

The boy looked away with a small blush before looking at the girl carefully.

She had pale skin like him, mesmerizing emerald green eyes, her hair was short and black with dark red bangs and she wore two earrings in each ear. She was wearing a short brown jacket with long sleeves and a black collar and hood, underneath she was wearing a black shirt with a yellow symbol in the center that hugged her bust, her jeans were bluish gray in color and she was wearing black sneakers with soles. and white beaks.

Bastion rubbed his chin, the redheaded bad girl didn't look familiar to him, but she brought him a great feeling of nostalgia and excitement. He then looked into her emerald green eyes for a moment as she smiled at him, that's when Mutaito felt a strange sensation in his chest as she spoke.

Bastion: It can't be... Is it really you... Julie...?

Confirmation soon came when the girl's smile grew.

Julie: It's great to see you again Bast-

Before she knew it, the gray-eyed boy pulled her into a tight hug that surprised her, but soon returned the gesture. The two old friends hugged like that for a while before Julie started to blush as she was hugging her friend who was shirtless, making her feel his toned body.

She then decided to tease Bastion a little.

Julie: Hey big boy, I missed you a lot too, but if you keep hugging me like that someone will think there's something going on here.

Upon hearing this, Bastion gained a small blush as he released the redhead who was now laughing at the shy expression he had on his face.

Julie: *laughs* Hehe you haven't changed at all, you're still the same shy Bastion as always.

The boy then pouted as he crossed his arms and spoke.

Bastion: And you're still the same provocative Juliet as always.

The two soon laugh at this before looking at each other once more.

Bastion: You look so different...

He soon noticed the differences in the girl, when they were children she was bigger than him, but now Bastion was a little bigger than her, but those weren't the only changes. Julie seemed to have dyed her hair and changed her cut, plus she had matured and gained curves in the right places and Bastion had to admit, she was beautiful to say the least.

Bastion: ... You've grown a lot. And... it's very beautiful...

Julie: Huh? Is little Bastion starting to be interested in girls? Don't get too excited big boy~.

Bastion: W-What?! I-I just wanted to say that you look very different from the last time we saw each other! T-That's it!

Julie: Oh okay, you fool me, I like it. But you've changed a lot too, right? *laughter*

Bastion: W-Will you stop teasing me?

Julie: Relax Bast, I'm just saying that you look different too. I don't think I can call you short anymore, right?

She then compares their heights to see that the boy was taller than her by a few inches. Bastion gets a smile when he sees this as he decides to tease her a little.

Bastion: No, you can't, shorty hehehe.

Julie just rolled her eyes with a small smile at the boy's failed attempt to provoke her. Looking at him once again she could see how much he had truly changed.

As she had already noticed, Bastion was a little bigger than her, he had a strong appearance for his age, his eyes were still two shades of gray and he had the same haircut as well as the marks he always had on his cheeks. .

She found herself mesmerized by his gaze as a small blush appeared on his face.

Julie: (Thoughts) I have to admit, he's cute. Oh! Don't travel Juliet! This is Bastion you're talking about! He's almost like a brother to you!

She shakes her head to clear her thoughts and get rid of the blush on her cheeks. That's when she noticed that Bastion was still wearing the red armbands she had given him years ago.

She turned her gaze to his things leaning against the wall next to hers to see that he still had the skateboard she had given him the day she moved out. Bastion also noticed that next to the girl's backpack was his old skateboard that he had given her.

The two gained smiles on their faces before speaking at the same time.

Bastion & Julie: Have you kept this for so long?

They looked at each other before responding.

Bastion & Julie: But of course, it's a special gift for me.

They blink a few times at each other before laughing a little as Bastion scratches the back of his head and Julie plays with her hair.

Bastion: Well, how have you been?

Julie: I'm fine, I moved to Twonsville with my dad two years ago.

Bastion: Good, and how is he?

Julie: Nah just like always, spending the whole summer locked in boardrooms and I spent the time locked in boring.

Bastion: Haha I wonder what it was like. But how did you know I was here?

Julie: It was easy, I met with Elizabeth about three months ago and she told me that you would come live with her soon. Then I received a call from her saying that you were studying here and I couldn't help but want to talk to you.

Bastion: Well, thanks for helping me earlier.

Julie: You're welcome, Bast, but what do you think of school?

Bastion: Um... other than the bullies, everything's fine for now.

Julie: Don't worry, sooner or later they'll let you go. But how are you? How was the change?

Bastion: Um, I think I'm fine. I have to get used to things around here, but knowing that you'll be around has made things better hehe.

Julie: You know, Bast, hehehe I think you have a special gift.

This made the boy sweat a little at the thought of the girl finding out about her powers. Bastion had never told Julie about her abilities, not even when they were children and he sincerely hoped she hadn't found out so easily.

Nervous and not knowing how to respond, he just decided to play dumb.

Bastion: What are you talking about, Julie? I'm the most ordinary guy in the world *nervous laughs*.

This sentence made him think a little about himself seeing that he had natural blue hair, blue markings on his cheeks and eyes in two different shades of gray and seeing this he wondered if he really looked ordinary like other boys his age.

Julie: You can't fool me, Bast. I already know everything.

Bastion's eyes widened, his heartbeat increased immensely and he broke out in a cold sweat at the thought that he had been discovered by the redhead.

Julie: Apparently the shy Bastion has already made friends with the three Powerpuff Girls. Looks like the stallion is on the loose.

Bastion felt a great relief in his chest when he saw that the girl was talking about something else, but even so he couldn't help but feel confused by his statement.

Bastion: What is it?

Julie: Now, don't play dumb. Despite being a nerd, you attract the attention of many girls, you know?

Bastion: Hehe and let me guess, does this bother you?

Julie: Of course I do-

She soon stops mid-sentence when she looks at the boy to see that he has a mischievous smile and a teasing expression.

Upon realizing what he was implying with that expression, the girl got a small blush as she waved her arms frantically.

Julie: T-That's not what I meant! After all, why would I bother if another girl likes you?!

Bastion: I don't know, you tell me.

Julie: I- Argh!

She then punches the boy in the arm, who laughs at finally being able to tease her like she usually does to him.

Julie in turn just stared at him as she crossed her arms and pouted.

Bastion: *laughs* Calm down Juju, I'm just messing with you.

Julie: *sarcastic* Haha funny. It's so funny that I forgot to laugh.

Bastion: But at the moment, I have other concerns.

The bad girl just looked at him with confusion waiting for him to continue.

Bastion: You've noticed that the shield that protects the city is failing sometimes, right?

Julie: Yes, but so what?

Bastion: So Elizabeth went to Metropolis to get a new stabilizer, but on the way home, the Rowdy Boys stole the part.

Julie: Huh? Why would the Rioters want a stabilizer?

Bastion: I asked myself the same question.

Julie: But what about Elizabeth? She's fine?

Bastion: She has a small cut on her forehead and I think she won't ride the train again for a few days. But other than that, everything was fine.

Julie: That's good. But and now?

Bastion: I don't know, she just said she would talk to Professor Untonium about it and try to find another place that would provide her with another stabilizer.

Julie: Hm... I think I know somewhere she can find one.

Later that day...

Buttercup: Star Labs? Yes, I've heard about it.

Bubbles: Why are you asking about this place?

At break time, Bastion could be seen sitting on the school's roof in the company of two of the Powerpuff Girls.

After Julie told him that Star Labs could help by providing the necessary part, Bastion decided he should know a little more about the place.

Bastion: The city shield needs a replacement part and a friend told me I can get that part there.

Buttercup: Who is this friend of yours? And what do you mean a new piece for the shield?

Bubbles: Haven't you noticed that he's failing at certain moments?

Buttercup: I don't know, I never paid attention to that stuff anyway. But what's the problem anyway?

Bastion: The shield stabilizer is broken and needs a replacement, Elizabeth found one in Metropolis, but the Rioters stole it.

Buttercup: Those three troublemakers deserve a good slap!

Bastion: I agree, but right now the replacement part is more important.

Buttercup: Oh, and what's the problem if one of the stabilizers is broken?

Bastion: It seems simple, but there are several problems. Without a new part the shield could be destabilized and end up disappearing, leaving Townsville defenseless against monster attacks or worse, the energy core is very sensitive and could collapse becoming a bomb, the discharge of a class 9 energy core will detonate all within an 8 kilometer radius.

The brunette just looked at him as she blinked a few times before responding.

Buttercup: I didn't understand half of your nerd talk, but it sounded bad.

Bubbles: It's really bad actually.

Bastion: Liz has already gotten hurt because of this, so I thought she could help.

Bubbles: That's nice of you. But you know that Star Laboratories are in Central City, which is very far from here, right?

The boy just shrugged, he knew it was far, but that wouldn't be a problem if he used his powers.

Buttercup: Want me to take you there? I have nothing to do today, it will be fun to go out for a bit.

The boy nodded in agreement, he knew he could go alone, but it would be nice to have company.

Bastion: I'll love it, Sweetie. And you Bubbles?

Bubbles: I promised Mrs. Keane I would help her reorganize her classroom.

Bastion: Mrs. Keane? I don't think I've met him yet.

Buttercup: She was our kindergarten teacher. We still help her here and there. She is very cool.

Bastion just nodded in response as he stood up and stretched a bit thinking about the day he had before looking at the brunette.

Bastion: Very well then, see you after school. Do you want me to come to your house?

Buttercup: That's fine with me. See you latter.

The boy in the white scarf then walked towards the door to go back into the school while thinking about how he would convince his sister to let him go to Central City.

Bastion: It won't be easy.

However, as he walked down the hallway, without him noticing, a girl with red-orange hair, freckles on her face and a golden tiara could be seen watching him from the corner with a smile on her face.

???: Well hello, new boy~.

Hours later...

Bastion fixed his scarf as he left the room. On his back he carried his backpack containing his superhero uniform in case something happened and the Masked boy needed to show up to save the day.

Once ready, he went downstairs to find his sister waiting for him with a worried look.

Elizabeth: Are you sure you want to go?

Bastion: Absolutely, you've been hurt before, it's time for me to do something.

Elizabeth: Even so, I'm still not sure about that.

Bastion: Relax sis, I know how to manage on my own, plus Buttercup is going with me.

The older girl lets out a sigh before speaking.

Elizabeth: Alright, Doctor Silas Stone will be waiting for you to give you the piece.

Bastion: Doctor Silas Stone? Isn't that Victor Stone's father?

Elizabeth: Yes, do you remember him?

Bastion: I remember that sometimes Doctor Silas would come to Grandpa's Laboratory and while the two of them worked, Victor and I would play together, but...

The boy stops in his sentence when he remembers the day he found out about the fatal car accident that Victor had suffered when he gets a downcast look.

Bastion: It's a shame what happened to him...

Elizabeth shared her brother's sad expression as she too was crestfallen.

Elizabeth: Yes, he was a golden boy...

Seeing the heavy atmosphere that had taken place, the boy cleared his throat to change the subject when he spoke.

Bastion: Well, I better go.

Elizabeth: Okay, be careful.

The boy nodded in response before walking over to the door before opening it to see none other than Buttercup and Blossom standing there.

Being a gentleman, Bastion soon lets them in when the redhead greets Elizabeth.

Blossom: Hi, Liz. I heard what happened, are you okay?

Elizabeth: Yes, thank you Blossom. It was just a scare.

Buttercup: Those three pests, one day I'll kick their asses!

Bastion: There are two of us then.

Elizabeth: *laughs* Take it easy, you two. But where is your sister?

Buttercup: Bubbles is busy. But we are here for him.

Everyone looked at Bastion who just put his hands behind his head before Elizabeth turned to the girls.

Elizabeth: Please, you two, take good care of my little brother.

Bastion: Hey, I'm not a helpless little boy!

The girls looked at him to see him with a dissatisfied pout.

Elizabeth: No, but it seems like yesterday that I changed his diapers.

Bastion: Elizabeth!

The girls began to giggle at him as a blush began to take over the boy's face while smoke could be seen coming out of his head.

Bastion: J-Enough of laughing at me, let's go now before I lose what little dignity I have left!

He walked out of the house while stamping his feet as he heard the girls continue to laugh at him.

Elizabeth: Alright, take care of him.

Buttercup and Blossom: Leave it.

The two sisters then followed behind the blue haired boy to see him waiting outside on the sidewalk as he scratched the back of his head before asking.

Bastion: Um... quick question. How do we go there and still come back today? Because the train journey will take a long time.

The Powerpuff Girls looked at each other before the brunette spoke.

Buttercup: I'll take it and you bring it.

Blossom just waved as Buttercup walked over to Bastion before surprising him by picking him up bridal style as the boy gained a blush before speaking.

Bastion: You know what? Forget it, my dignity is gone.

Buttercup: Now, enjoy it, kid, not everyone is lucky enough to get a ride from a Powerpuff Girl.

Before the boy could argue, the brunette took to the skies like a rocket, making the blue-haired boy scream in fright before grabbing the girl tightly, who blushed a little, but left it aside.

Blossom soon flew next to them while giving her sister a bored look.

Blossom: Did I really need to traumatize him?

Buttercup: He gets used to it, not to mention it was worth hearing his terrified scream. *laughter*

Soon...

The trip to Central City was very quick thanks to the speed at which Buttercup and Blossom were flying, but despite also knowing how to fly, Bastion had to admit that it was a little scary having to be carried all the way and the jokes and scares that Buttercup gave him didn't matter. things improved a lot.

Finally they reached their path and the boy soon realized that Townsville was tiny compared to Central City which was immensely big and busy, the danger of monsters was not present, instead people were more worried about robberies and super villains appearing around them. there, but luckily they had Flash was there to help.

Stretching a little, the boy in the scarf looked at the redhead in the bow before asking.

Bastion: Hey, not that I'm complaining, but why did you decide to come with us?

Blossom: I've always wanted to come to Central City.

Buttercup: Of course, you fool me, I like it.

Blossom was confused by her sister's words while Bastion looked at the brunette who seemed sulking about something. Confused by that, the boy looked at the redhead looking for answers, but she just shrugged and signaled that she didn't know why either.

Sighing at this Bastion just turned towards the Star Labs building before letting out a surprised whistle at how big the place was.

Buttercup: Well, here we are.

Bastion: Yeah. It's big as hell, right?

Buttercup: Okay. Let's go in and get what we need.

Blossom: Let's go.

The three walked towards the building before entering it and looking around to see that it looked very fancy. Several people were walking back and forth and seemed very busy with their own affairs, but the trio of teenagers paid them no attention as they walked to the reception before Bastion caught the attendant's attention.

Bastion: Hello, good afternoon.

The receptionist turned her attention to him and the two girls before looking them up and down and asking.

Receptionist: Good afternoon, can I help you?

Bastion: We came from Townsville to talk to Doctor Silas Stone, we need a new piece for the city's shield.

Receptionist: Oh, you must be Bastion Mutaito, the Doctor said he would come and is waiting for you. Follow me please.

The teenagers waved and followed behind the woman who led them through the corridors of the place before taking one of the elevators and going to one of the upper floors.

A few moments later they found themselves in front of a door when the receptionist knocked a few times.

Receptionist: Dr. Stone? Some young people are here to see you.

From inside the room, a male voice was heard as he responded.

Dr. Stone: Send them in, please.

The receptionist then opens the door as Bastion and the girls enter the room to see Dr. Stone sitting at his desk as he appears to be working on an improved system for a large T-shaped tower.

Dr. Stone was a man in his 40s, he had black skin, black eyes, short black hair and wore glasses as well as a scientist outfit.

Bastion: Hello Doctor Silas, how are you?

The man looked up from his work to the trio of teenagers, but his gaze fell on the boy with the marks on his cheeks and upon seeing the boy, the man got a smile on his face as he stood up to greet him.

Dr. Silas: Bastion, I'm fine, thank you. It's great to see you again after so long, you've grown so much. How have you been?

Bastion: It's good to see you too Doctor. I am well thanks.

Dr. Silas: What about your sister and grandfather? How are they? Elizabeth told me what happened on the train.

Bastion: Liz is fine, she didn't have anything other than a few scratches and a scare, but she's strong, she's going to be fine.

Dr. Silas: That's very good. And old Sebastion? Still playful as ever? *laughter*

Bastion: *laughs* You have no idea hehe.

The scientist then notices the brunette and redhead who were with the boy in the scarf when he asks.

Dr. Silas: And who are the two young ladies with you? Your girlfriends?

This comment made Bastion stiffen and blush a little like that with the two Powerpuff Girls beside him.

Bastion: N-N-No, they're just my friends. The brunette in green is Buttercup and the redhead in pink is Blossom.

Dr. Silas: Oh, Professor Untonium's daughters, also known as the Powerpuff Girls. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Blossom smiled at the scientist while Buttercup just waved with her arms crossed looking like a punk.

Blossom: Likewise Dr. Silas.

Buttercup: Hey old man.

Blossom: Buttercup! Is that any way to talk to older people?!

Buttercup: What's wrong? He's really old, right old man?

Dr. Silas: Old man?

Bastion got a bead of sweat on his forehead when he heard this as he feared that the man didn't really like being called old, but that never happened as Dr. Silas started laughing while wiping the tears from his eyes.

Dr. Silas: *laughs* Haha I liked that one, it reminds me a little of my son.

Bastion: Speaking of which, I'm sorry about what happened to Victor.

The scientist's gaze drops a little at this and Bastion places a hand on his shoulder as he gives him a gentle, comforting look as Dr. Silas wipes away a tear.

Dr. Stone: Thank you son...

The Powerpuff Girls looked at each other, already understanding a little about the situation.

Dr. Silas: W-Well, if I'm not mistaken, the part Elizabeth wanted was a stabilizer for a class 9 energy core, right?

Bastion: Exactly.

Upon hearing the boy's confirmation, the scientist walked to a parts cabinet while looking for what he wanted.

Dr. Silas: Stabilizer for class 9 nuclei... hmm, it's a good thing you came soon, class 9 nuclei are very delicate and if destabilized they would become a bomb that would take out everything within a radius of 8 kilometers.

Buttercup blinked a few times at this as she felt the sensation that he had already heard those words coming from a certain someone.

She then looks at her sister before whispering to her.

Buttercup: *whispers* I think Bastion is nerdier than you.

Unbeknownst to her, the boy in the scarf heard what the brunette had said with his super hearing as he rolled his eyes.

Bastion: I do my homework, and I'll take his comment as a compliment.

The two sisters looked at each other in surprise while the pinkette held back from laughing at her sister who had an embarrassed blush on her face.

The blue-haired boy laughed a little before noticing that Dr. Silas had found the piece and was now heading towards him.

Dr. Silas: Here it is.

Buttercup and Blossom get closer to see that the stabilizer wasn't quite what they seemed, but was actually quite small, a little bigger than a notebook.

Buttercup: That's it?

Blossom: It's so small, I thought it would be a little bigger.

Buttercup: Yeah, like an engine or something.

Dr. Silas: Hehe, even I'm surprised how something so small takes so much work. We received some from Citiesville a few days ago.

Blossom: No problems?

Dr. Silas: You can't even imagine. Citiesville is a good supplier, but we've been having certain problems and setbacks in recent weeks with... well, never mind.

This comment caught Bastion's attention and he began to wonder who the scientist was talking about, but he would remember to ask the girls later.

Dr. Silas then placed the piece in a briefcase before handing it to Bastion.

Bastion: Well, it was a pleasure to see you again, Dr. Silas.

Dr. Silas: Yes, equally boy. Feel free to come visit me whenever you want.

Bastion: I will, see you soon.

He gave the scientist a hug before leaving the room.

As they were going down the elevator, Blossom and Buttercup looked at Bastion and seemed to want to ask something, the boy, upon noticing their gaze, quickly asked.

Bastion: Is there anything you wanted to ask?

Buttercup: What happened to the old man's son?

Blossom: Buttercup!

Buttercup: What happened? He asked.

The scarf-wearing boy let out a saddened sigh as he began to speak with a somewhat saddened expression.

Bastion: His name was Victor Stone. We were both good friends, when he came to Peacefulville we both always played together. A few months ago I heard the news that Victor had been in a very serious car accident...

He then lowers his head as a shadow covers his eyes.

Bastion: ... The injuries were very serious and *sniffles*... Victor... h-he didn't survive... if I remember correctly, his mother died the same way when he was a child...

A tear fell from Bastion's eyes and as she fell towards the ground, small memories of Bastion playing with Victor could be seen until the tear fell to the ground.

The two Power Girls, upon seeing the look on their friend's face, regretted having brought up the subject before placing a hand on the boy's shoulder to comfort him while giving him gentle smiles that he soon returned.

They left the building and while walking a little around the city, the two Powerpuff Girl started talking.

Buttercup: Don't you think...

Blossom: It's possible. After all, Citiesville is the perfect place for them to act.

This caught the attention of the boy with marks on his cheeks who pretended to be distracted as he listened carefully to what they were saying.

Buttercup: If it's true that the Rioters are in Citiesville, then maybe we should take a look.

Blossom: We can't. You know we can't. Also, Citiesville is very dangerous.

Buttercup: Yeah, but could we-

Blossom: I want it as much as you do. Trust me, I want it. But we can't just go there.

Bastion wondered what the two were talking about, he understood that the Rioters were in Citiesville, but what confused him was the fact that the two Powerpuff Girls seemed to be scared, since even though the Riot Boys were stronger, the Powerpuff Girls they always beat them most of the time.

Bastion: (Thoughts) Is Citiesville? Maybe the Masked Man will pay them a visit. Now it hits me, I need a better hero name... Hey! Friend reader! Yes! If you're reading, can you give me an idea of which superhero name I should use?

Coming back to reality, he turned to the two girls with a smile.

Bastion: Hey, I have an idea. How about some milkshakes for helping me get here? It is on me.

Later...

Back in Townsville, Bastion and the two Power Girls could be seen inside an ice cream shop enjoying their milkshakes while chatting.

Something Bastion found funny was what the two girls asked for.

Buttercup got mint and Blossom got strawberry, there was no end to their colors.

Buttercup: It took us a long time to get back, I said it would be faster if I carried him.

Blossom: So you can fly like there's no tomorrow and traumatize him even more?

Buttercup: Yeah, that would be more fun. Also, do you think Bastion would get scared that easily?

Bastion: I'm not afraid of heights, but I honestly think I've had flying lessons for a lifetime.

The two girls laughed a little at this while the boy thought a little about his powers. He had several of the chemicals in his blood and the girls' was one of them, and he had awakened several of the powers that they also had thanks to chemical X.

Knowing this, Bastion made a mental note to write down what kind of power each chemical would give him, but he could think about it later.

Buttercup: By the way Bastion, I heard Sten showered you with balloons earlier today at school.

This made the blue-haired boy look sullen as he remembered the humiliation he had experienced in front of everyone at school and all thanks to the defender who hadn't let go of him since the first day of school.

Bastion: Oh, don't remind me. That guy won't leave me alone!

Blossom: I'm sorry about that. Sten may be an idiot, but deep down he's a good person.

Bastion: I've heard this litany before.

Buttercup: I would have already given him a few good punches if I were you.

Blossom: Buttercup! Don't encourage him to get into fights!

Bastion: It's okay, Blossom. I've thought about punching him in the face, but I'm not much of a fightr. (Thoughts) Not to mention that I would kill him if he wanted to hit me.

Buttercup: Duh. That's why I went with you to Central City.

The blue-haired one raised an eyebrow at this when he realized that the two girls thought he was defenseless and didn't know how to take care of himself.

Bastion: Guys, I'm not defenseless. I may be a little nerdy, but I know how to handle myself.

Buttercup: If you say so, but I heard Julie helped you.

Blossom: Really? How nice of her.

Bastion: Do you know Juju?

Blossom: Uh, Juju?

Bastion's eyes widened a little as a small blush appeared on his face and he looked away while scratching the back of his head.

Bastion: W-Well, Julieta and I were childhood friends, but we lost touch after she moved away with her father. But I'm happy to know I can see her again.

Buttercup: Oh so you're the Bast she always talks about?

Bastion: Does she talk about me?

Blossom: Quite a lot actually.

Bastion: H-That's cool, hehehe. But what about you? How do you know her?

Blossom: She's been studying with us since she went to our school, not to mention she does ballet with me.

Bastion: Juju doing ballet? Is this serious?

Buttercup: Believe it or not, she's really good.

Bastion: Julie doing ballet... it really is a rare day. But since that's the case, when is that dance recital? I'd like to go if you don't mind.

Blossom: Of course! You are our friend and have been to our house. It's next Saturday.

Bastion: Great show, I'll be there without fail.

He looked around to see some kids his age putting up some flyers on a bulletin board and as he looked closer he saw what was written.

"Spring Ball, Welcome"

Bastion: Spring Fling?

The girls perked up at the word as they followed his gaze and spotted the same pamphlet the boy was looking at.

Blossom: Not that.

Buttercup: Now screwed.

These comments made Bastion confused as he wondered if the two of them didn't like the Ball.

Bastion: (Thoughts) Maybe something bad happens at this dance... or I found a rare case of girls who don't like dancing.

Blossom: Bubbles must already know. Our fate is sealed, my dear sister.

Buttercup: I'm not wearing a dress. I'm out!

Blossom: The makeup. The hair. It's too much even for me!

Buttercup: I can't dance!

Blossom seemed to be having an internal crisis, while Buttercup seemed to be having a manic episode.

Bastion: (Thoughts) Wow, they really went crazy.

Suddenly, the two looked at each other in shock.

Buttercup/Blossom: WE HAVE TO GET A DATE!

Bastion: Calm down, you two. It's still a long way off, you two have a lot of time. But what's the problem, anyway? It's just a dance like any other.

Blossom: You don't understand, Bastion. Bubbles, she turns into a... scary thing.

Buttercup: She's scarier than any monster we've ever faced. She becomes obsessed with these dresses and this makeup and starts reading magazines.

Blossom: The magazines, Bastion!

Buttercup: And then we have to run away from all the guys at school because they always want to ask us to prom.

Blossom: So many rejections.

Buttercup: And then the dance begins!

Blossom: I can't do this again!

Bastion: Hey, that's enough! Alright, I got it.

The girls sighed and dropped their heads onto the table.

Bastion: I thought you guys were complaining about not having boyfriends. But did you just say you have to run away from them?

Blossom: No no no. You did not understand. We want dates, but we don't want to go with anyone who only wants to go with us because we're superheroes.

Buttercup: Or wanting to get lucky.

Blossom: We want to ask someone to the dance. Not the other way around.

The boy with the marks on his cheeks thought a little and realized that in the end it made sense.

They didn't want to be invited to the ball, they wanted to make the invitation. Because the people who invited them only wanted to go with them because they are superheroes.

This made Bastion think how bad it could be to not have a secret identity and he thanked God for being an unsung hero.

Bastion: Relax, okay? You're going to find someone sooner or later. And Bubbles is so can't be that bad, right?

The store door suddenly opened, ripping off the bell and throwing it straight into the wall where it ended up stuck. The three teenagers looked at it in surprise before their eyes fell on the person responsible for it.

Standing at the entrance was a dark figure shrouded in shadows, only glowing blue eyes were visible.

Blossom: It's the end, it was nice meeting you.

Buttercup: I'm too young to die!

Bubbles: SPRING FALL IS COMING.

Bastion: What happened to your voice?

Bubbles: WE'LL RULE SUPREMES AT THE SPRING BALL! WE WILL WEAR THE BEST DRESSES! WE'RE GOING TO DANCE ALL NIGHT LONG! WE WILL HAVE A MAGIC MOMENT! NOBODY IS GOING TO STOP ME FROM MAKING THIS HAPPEN! NO ONE WILL STAND IN MY WAY! WHOEVER TRY WILL FEEL THE FURY OF BUBBLES UNTONIUM!!!

Bastion's calm and relaxed expression had already disappeared at this point and he found himself shaking with Buttercup and Blossom as they heard sweet Bubbles' voice become so scary and evil.

Suddenly, the blonde returned to her cute, happy self and smiled innocently.

Bubbles: So don't try to stop me guys!

She winked as she stuck out her tongue a little. Her sisters looked absolutely petrified and Bastion thanked the heavens that Elizabeth wasn't that scary.

Bubbles: Hey Bastion, Liz said I'm going to get you ready for prom too.

Bastion's face turned white upon hearing this as he internally screamed at his sister for pulling him into that Spring Fling scheme while crying dramatically at not being able to escape or run from this, only having to settle for the inevitable.
