The room was filled with tension as George and Sir Michael sat on one side of the large table, flanked by the Emerald City guards behind them. Opposite them sat Angus, the bank manager, his brows furrowed in confusion. He couldn't help but be puzzled by Sir Michael's choice of representation—a young boy as his lawyer.
"Sir Michael, may I ask... who is this kid?" Angus inquired, his voice laced with doubt.
"He is my lawyer," Michael responded firmly.
"Your... lawyer?" Angus repeated, incredulous. "Isn't he a little young for that?"
In this world, it wasn't unheard of for young people to achieve remarkable things, even becoming lawyers at a young age, but Angus couldn't wrap his head around why Sir Michael would choose such a young representative for something so critical.
