(A/N: Just to let you know their will be a chapter everyday released at 10am London Time with any adult stuff covering multiple chapters being released on the same day. Hope you are all enjoying so far, already over sixties readers and collections. WOW I'm pumping these out quickly if I managed to get like twenty backed up I'll do a quick fire round with one released an hour for a whole day. Bye from a currently high on that sweet nectar called tea, a brit and idiot, Andrew.)
I made sure to sleep till about noon to see if extra sleep would help with hopping between here and the other world. I should really find out its name, but how do you ask that. 'Hey, what world is this?' Most probably won't even know what that means.
After checking out of the hotel I changed into my fantasy clothes which at this point was just a wool tunic and some hemp pants along with some boots. As soon as I warped into the alley, I felt exhausted and realized I would need a place to permanently go back and forth from that was safe.
I slumped against a wall in the alley and fought to stay awake. It turns out oversleeping paid off since I managed to not pass out. I stayed delirious for a few minutes before I managed to clear my head from the exhaustion. I slumped the leather sack I had with me over my shoulder which had the duffle bag in it.
I asked around for rooms to rent and found a simple room with a bed and bucket. It had a wooden shutter and was in a worse part of town but had a lock. I managed to pry up a floorboard and hide my duffle bag under them.
I needed to start adventuring but that came with some risks, I wanted to by some Armor first. I got directions to a tanner's shop and found they had several sets of Armor. I went for a set that had, bracers, shoulder, chest, back, shin and hamstring pieces.
The style I had in my mind wouldn't work with heavy Armor and I wanted to save up for some of the runic or enchanted stuff I had heard about. I chose that specific bracer because it had a loop on the inside which I could attach my Tanto as a surprise weapon.
On my belt was my Tachi and the hunting knife I found which was more for utility then combat. I walked out of the city and to an empty field that was left fallow this year. I began by doing the stretching routine I had created. It was meant to improve my flex ability by stretching the muscle past its maximum stretching point to improve its strength instead of breaking it by lifting weights. It was the same technique used by some gymnasts and traceur.
I had gorged on hundreds of videos about the basics of martial arts that I needed to practice. I drew my blade and began to practice my edge alignment. For some reason I picked it up easily.
I spent the next week going back and forth between here and earth. I had applied for a visa to stay long term in Japan for the next three months. I had found a dojo that was willing to teach Karate, Judo, Aikido and Iaido. For some reason the master of this tiny dojo sponsored me on a full scholarship. Is this my luck?
His lessons were a mix of the old style while mixing in a few new techniques like using a high-speed camera to show his students where they were making mistakes. He seemed charmed at how quickly I was picking things up. It was like through sheer chance I got the moves right and then I could repeat it easily after that.
This really was a broken ability. With in a week I was already practicing, two hands on the Tachi, Dual wielding the Tachi and Tanto as well as just the tanto. Tanaka-Sempai explained that using both was difficult but if mastered could allow me to win any tournament.
After a week I was confident enough to at least go kill a goblin. I had bought a black cloth to cover my face and with it a black cloak. I looked like one of those assassins from a b-movie. I walked a while to the edge of the forests. There were invisible warding arrays across the whole border. It kept most of the stronger beast in, but the occasional animal or weaker beast would come through. The major problem was goblins.
Dumb and spawned from concentrations of miasma. If they get control of a human settlement, they could grow their numbers exponentially leading a horde. The same applied for kobolds and orcs but they never worked together.
The guild said they would pay a copper for a goblin ear, one and five bits for a kobold's and three for an orc. So, if you added that up then one goblin was worth two copper for both ears. If you considered, the price of my room was fifteen silver a month plus about five copper a day for food and other stuff so that's thirty silver a month needed to survive let alone save anything up. I would need to kill let's see…a hundred and fifty a month. That's like five a day. If every adventurer in the city is killing that many then how many of the buggers are there and there probably killing more than that.
I walked around until I heard a series of grunts and garbles which sounded exactly like I thought a goblin would. There were five of them all meandering about aimlessly while chatting with one another. They usually spawned in groups of between three and ten. This world is beginning to seem more and more like a game.
I sneak up as best as I could on them while being careful not to trip on any sticks. I took my Tanto and threw it like in the circus right at one of their necks as I sprinted to another with my tachi pointed out. I skewered the shit straight in the eye as the tanto imbedded itself into the neck of the goblin.
I drew out my sword and slashed at the next nearest that hadn't even reacted yet. With a lop its head came off. I'm starting to see why so many of them could be killed. The fourth and fifth decided to charge. One with a spear and the other a club. I stepped the spear and slashed down with my blade at the goblins neck.
I cut through and in one clean motion had already defended from the hit of the clubber. I parried his blow and thrust it into the goblin's neck. I stood over the five corpses and smiled like a madman as I was bathed in their blood. This was too easy. I am one of those broken protagonists. I have noticed several things I could do to improve my technique, but one thing hit me like a wall. Should I just go full ninja and get bunch of kunai since I can guarantee a hit on my target.
