"What? What have you done?" Myles' questioned as chills ran down his spine, watching the satellite feed of his former base.
Myles, consumed by despair and anger, felt an overwhelming surge of power within him. His pupils glowed a bright red as his hate for denumbit grew spontaneously.
"Yes, that's it, feel that power, the power you've always held within. The power that has been growing in you, embrace it" Denumbit taunted.
Myles could feel the power coursing through his veins. The room around him flickered and distorted as strange hues of colors swirled around him, merging with the air, and generating a mesmerizing spectacle.
"Now, you have nothing. Everyone you ever knew is dead!" Denumbit mocked.
"Your mother... Your friend... Nylar... And Jon."
Unable to contain his fury any longer, Myles let out a deafening scream as he pulled on the chains that bound him, unleashing a tremendous burst of energy. The energy emitted from Myles fired up the machines in the room, causing a larger explosion that tore through the building's walls, shaking it to its core.
Myles used his newfound strength to break free from his chains, snapping them out of the placements where they were held, jumping down from the platform.
In a rage-induced frenzy, he charged at denumbit, utilizing the chains in his hands as a weapon. The machine hummed the more, as Myles' energy filled the room. It rotated with high speeds forming a growing energy sphere at the core.
On the other hand, Myles swung the chains at denumbit as they fought, both of them tactically equiped as denumbit utilized his well renowned etherea-cell powers.
Denumbit materialized a blade on his hand which he used to repeatedly slash Myles. Myles was undoubtedly no match for the fierce Denumbit as he received both slashes and blows.
Denumbit managed incapacitate him, striking him at several pressure points in his body and weakening him. However, Myles was not one know to give up easily. He stood up, as blood leaked out of his wounds, ready to charge once again at Denumbit.
Immediately, the machine ignited and burst with energy, shooting out a ray of energy through the roofing, towards the sky. The beam hit the sky and began spreading open, masking the bright sky with a dark gloomy variant.
"And so it begins, hahahaha" Denumbit laughed maniacally as he vanished into a dark cloud of smoke that dissipated instantly as quickly as it materialized behind him, leaving Myles to face the destruction he had caused.
Myles now stood facing the remnants of the sentinels that had survived the blast and had now drawn weapons against him.
He immediately lunged forward, wreaked havoc on the sentinels, their bio-synthetic bodies no match for his overwhelming power. His skin radiated with a vibrant red energy, heating everything he touched.
Amidst the chaos, the building began to give away and was now hurtling towards a catastrophic collapse.
The building crumbled bit by bit, falling away. After defeating the last of the sentinels, Myles ran for the door, breaking through and bursting into the corridors ahead, desperately seeking for an exit. He barged into several rooms, breaking through the doors and smashing the weak walls as he desperately sought for a way out.
Unfortunately for Myles, the building could no longer hold and thus imminently crashed to the ground, falling atop all life forms beneath, burying Myles and the remaining occupants in the building under the rubble.
After a while, Myles eyes glared open as he woke up, he desperately gasped for air as the dust from the crash filled his lungs. He had now been buried deep within the rubble.
Desperately, Myles began clawing his way through, emerging from the loads of debris, pulling himself to the top. He inflicted more wounds on himself as he pulled through the rubble, tearing his skin as it scratched against rough surfaces.
Emerging at the top, He painstakingly stood to his feet, blood dripping from his wet skin, bleeding heavily as his wounds bared open. He proceeded forward, staggering towards the edge of the destroyed facility. He reach the edge and fell to his knees.
Amidst the ruins, he noticed a broken billboard with the logo of "District Inc," It was a nucleated facility situated far from civilization on a cliff side. Denumbit had used an outlet of District incorporations to carry out his plans.
Myles stood for a while in his blood drenched body, taking in the eerie view.He now realized the extent of the destruction his energy outburst had caused. His explosive energy had powered the machine that unleashed a transformative wave, mutating living organisms and the landscape with ethereal energy, a force beyond comprehension.
The blast triggered a disruption in time and space, serving as a catalyst to create a portal rift to combine planes of existence. The ethereal dimension had began merging with reality, causing great earthquakes to shake the Earth, and dark clouds forming across the sky as a massive portal opened.
Immediately, a colossal celestial body began emerging from the portal, heralding a new and uncertain future for humanity and all of existence. Myles, filled with guilt and remorse, could only watch in despair, realizing that he had unknowingly become the harbinger of this cataclysmic event.
Myles squinted his eyes, trying to make sense of the large object emerging from the portal. It was colossal, with a sinister aura that sent shivers down his spine.
"No... This can't be happening," Myles whispered, his heart pounding in his chest.
The colossal object continued to rise, towering over the landscape. As it fully emerged, Myles could see that it was a massive, ominous structure covered in dark, pulsating energy. It resembled a fortress, but unlike anything he had ever seen before.
Myles felt the surge of power leave him slowly, his body growing weaker by the second.
As the ethereal plane fused with reality, anomalies started to manifest all over the world. Creatures of unimaginable power and form appeared, wreaking havoc and chaos in their wake.
The colossal structure emitted a powerful beam of dark energy, piercing the skies and connecting with the portal. The portal began to expand, spreading across the globe like a dark web, consuming everything in its path.
The world was engulfed in chaos, and the once familiar landscapes transformed into nightmarish scenes. Myles felt a profound sense of guilt and responsibility for what was happening, but he was trapped in the turmoil he unwittingly unleashed.
The convergence of dimensions had caused the earth to gradually transform into a cold, sterile world now pulsated with a malevolent aura, that led to unimaginable realms.
"What have I done? Myles muttered, the ones meant to serve as humanity's protectors now lay in shambles.
"What extent of powers do anomalies possess?" Myles wondered.
