"Can you imagine the horror? What is wrong with the author?" cried a lady as she sat on a futon in a dingy one room apartment.
She had rollers in her hair and big square glasses sat on her nose bridge as she squinted her eyes to read a novel.
"The Empress's love story. Yeah right. More like torture of the side characters. This story has so many problems!" she bellowed.
Her name is Edwina Fleur. A twenty-year-old college dropout, she spends most of her time reading web novels and her latest read was not to her liking.
As someone who doesn't like to go with the flow, Edwina always liked to like things people didn't like. The last piece of bread in a loaf, the worst chores at home and that one dress that everyone would ignore in a store or the villains in a popular love story.
"How I wish I was in this book! I would show the author what it means to have a love story bloom. Poor Diego! Poor Sage! This author does you no justice! And they say it emphasizes on the side characters! Of course it does. It's just that they end up dying before their spring can come!" she cried out dramatically.
"Well, I've finished another one. I had better turn in for the night. I wonder what other book I will read tomorrow." She mumbled as she drifted off into sleep, unaware of the glaring light coming from her phone.
*
"So you think you can give the side characters a better ending huh? Well then, let me see you become one." Said a mystical voice as Edwina drifted into an even deeper sleep.

Birds chirping in the distance seemed to tell the people of Wyden kingdom to wake up and start their day. Some pulled out carts to head to the market while others went to their fields to plough and weed. In a faraway land, the duchy of Flit, their seemed to be a ghost in the duke's mansion. Why you would ask?
Well, the most feared girl a tyrant by nature, was still sleeping and the servants were too afraid to make a move.
"Hush! The tyrant will break your legs for waking her before she can actually wake up!" whispered the head maid to the servants.
Everyone was on tender hooks and it only worsened when the duke came in.
"Where's my little Sage?" he asked as he pulled on a pair of gloves.
"She is still asleep, sire." The butler responded as the other servants bowed their heads in greeting.
"Ok, I see. Let her sleep for as long as she likes. Tell her that I have gone to the capital shortly and I will return to see her quickly. Don't let her run rampant around town." The duke ordered and he left just as fast as his orders.
The butler could only sigh at his masked master who had never shown his face to anyone except his daughter and son left them a storm that was docile.
"Alright everyone. You heard His Grace. Don't disturb the young miss until she wakes up on her own. Alright?"
"Yes butler."
After the little disruption, everyone went on with their work as silently as they could.
Meanwhile in the castle, in the biggest room they could make lay a beautiful bed laced with pink and blue.
The whole room as immaculate with gold and jewels all around, but what lay in the bed was a force to be reckoned with.
"Yaaawwn! What a beautiful sleep I had! The first of many I hope. I rarely get to sleep like that because of work." The figure said as she stretched her hands while looking around.
"Ha-ha, my boss finally stopped listening to me and took me to my bigger apartment, huh?" she said with a chuckle as she stretched her hand looking for her glasses which of course she couldn't find.
Instead, she held a mirror which she brought to her face and she shrieked.
"Aaahhhh!!"
Just what was going on?
*
The servants had their little miss's shriek but none dared to go up to check on her.
"Must be cranky again." Whispered one and the other maids couldn't help but nod along. Back to the mysterious young miss upstairs, she was baffled.
"What happened to my slim body, toned abs and everything else?" she yelled to no one in particular as she stared in a full length mirror.
The person who looked back was beautiful, but she looked over weight. She had chubby cheeks and flabby arms and even though her skin was glowing, her timeline wouldn't just accept her body.
"Oh my goodness! What happened to Edwina Fleur? What is going on?" the figure paced and paced but nothing was coming to mind.
"Yesterday, I went to bed after finishing that piece of trash story and slept off. How did I end up in what looks like medieval times? There was no truck-kun, no rebirth-san, nothing! Just what is going on?"
The figure was baffled and for two days, she stayed in her room trying to come to terms with the fact that she had transmigrated to a time that was not hers.
Elsewhere, the butler was sweating buckets.
"Welcome, lady Briar." He greeted their guests as the daughter of a count made her way into the castle.
"Humph! What would you do if lady Sage found out of your mistreatment?!" asked the young lady, treating the older gentleman like trash and yet he was old enough to be her grandfather.
"My apologies, my lady." The butler quickly apologized remembering how the young miss treasured all her friends who were much useless.
"Quickly, go call Sage downstairs. I want to see her right now!" Briar ordered as the poor butler was stuck.
Their young lady had not left her room for the last three days and this had worried them to no end yet they couldn't enter there on their own. The two people who would, the young lord and their master, were not around so they had not checked on her.
"Yes, young lady." The butler bowed as he scurried away.

"What do you mean you made a mix up?" Edwina, now Sage, was quarrelling with a wispy like figure.
"I am sorry. You questioned my expertise and so I had to teach you a lesson. I didn't think that the dimensional travel would bring you to my worst case scenario!" the figure argued back and Sage felt like she was on the end of her rope of sanity.
What happened was; Sage got on her knees and prayed to whatever god was out there and the so called love god, Moriah, appeared in front of her trying to explain his mix up. Sage was furious.
"So, you are telling me that I was supposed to enter 'The Empress's love story' but instead you sent me to a scary version of the novel where the side characters die and I am the villainess?"
Sage couldn't understand what she had done to anger the god before her to send her to such a crazy place.
"Ok, since it was a mistake, send me home." Sage ordered only for the god's face to change.
"I am sorry. This whole farce was set for you to first finish. There's no way you can go back before you finish the story."
Sage wanted to murder someone. This god guy had just turned her whole life upside down and he was acting like it was ok! Why wouldn't she be mad?!
"Well, since I can't go back, might as well suck it up and do what I can to finish this book. Where are the memories?" Sage demanded after coming to terms with the problem she was facing.
Moriah looked at the body of the chubby girl and gave himself a pat. He had picked the best soul to try and turn the story around so, fingers crossed.
He let a small blue orb float towards Sage and once it touched her, it disappeared and turned into a wisp of smoke before floating to the center of her forehead.
"Now, be careful. You might take a little while to get used to that body but otherwise you should…" Moriah didn't get to finish his statement when Sage fainted from the information overload.
"Traveler? Sage? Edwina? Are you ok? Well, she will be fine. I had better return to watching my series." He mumbled before vanishing.
The butler walked in shortly after and almost fainted when he found their young miss on the floor.
"Oh my goodness." He shrieked while running to Sage.
He didn't care if she would scold him for entering her room without permission as in that moment, the most important thing to do was to find out what was wrong with Sage.
Sage on hearing his shriek opened her eyes and felt the need to kill Moriah.
'That pesky liar!' she thought as she looked around for his shadow.
"Oh young miss, how are you? Are you ok?" asked the old man worriedly.
Sage looked at the old man that looked after the previous owner meticulously like his own grandchild and she sighed.
'Since you summoned me here, Sage. I am going to do my very best to help and protect everyone around you and punish a few rebels as well. This story will have a good ending!'
