Since it would be quite challenging to carry the corpses of ten snakes, Kane decided to eat their meat as fast as he could because it was time to return to the village. Although the hide of the blue snakes wasn't that sturdy and heavy, it wasn't easy to carry all of those alone, but Kane decided not to ask for help. He was that much prideful.
Regardless, when he returned to the other group, he noticed that Emma and Jacob had evolved while he was busy. Emma had grown a bit taller, but not as much as Kane. Her limbs also seemed slimmer, and it looked like she actually lost muscle mass upon evolving. Despite that, she didn't get weaker. Her black hair also had grown to shoulder length.
"As I had expected, I couldn't have become even uglier than before," Emma said.
