"Let go!" Raya Peters yelled. This was not the first time something like this was happening. She was always molested each day she comes to work at the bar.
She see different types of men who do not have any respect for ladies. She had swore to herself that she wasn't going to give in to any of them. Being a lady of twenty one didn't bring her an easy life, especially with the fact that she was working in a bar in California. Raya was the real definition of one being beautiful. She had a midnight black hair that flowed over her shoulders. She had saccharine sweet lips, they were blossom soft. Her enticing, constellation-blue eyes were the most attractive part of her body. She had a sculpted figure which was twine-thin. Her waist was tapered and she had a burnished complexion. A pair of arched eyebrows looked down on sweeping eyelashes. Her delicate ears framed a button nose.
" Please let me go" She said again with her sugary voice, pushing the already drunk man away. She tried so hard to escape him but he held her hand so tightly that she felt pain.
Was this the life she had wanted for herself? All she wanted was a good life, she didn't want a wealthy life, no, she just wanted a life of peace and comfortability.
"Don't be so stubborn" the drunk man said, tightening his grip
"What do you want from me?" She asked, using her other hand to cover her nose. Yes, she was a bar attendant but the man definitely reek more than the drinks she serves. She knew what he wanted, she knew what they all wanted. But 'why her?' was the question that kept on ringing in her head. For sure they were other pretty ladies like her in the bar but none of them were being molested this way.
"You know what I want" he said smiling with his disgusting looking teeth.
"I'm sorry but I don't know what you're talking about" she said still struggling
"Don't play dumb lady, you know I want you. How much do you cost per night?" He asked
" Please sir, let me go" she pleaded but the man kept mute, dragging her to another corner of the room as she yelled for help.
"Didn't you hear her?" Another man said punching the drunk on his face as he fell to the ground.
"Are you okay?" he asked her
"Yea, I'm fine. I better get back to my work" she said trying to leave, well not until he held her hand
"So soon? Aren't you even going to thank me for saving you?" He said coming close to her
" Thank you, but I need to leave" She said but he kept on coming closer until he pinned her to the wall.
"There's no need to rush, baby girl. You have the whole night to thank me" he said to her
"I beg you sir, I need to go" she pleaded
"Not until you give me what I want" he whispered into her ear, blowing a light breeze on it; making her shiver.
"Sir... please..." she stammered and before she could complete the statement she heard a loud thump. The man let go of her holding his head. He had been hit with a chair by the drunk.
He got up and landed another punch on the drunk's face and it became more intense. Many people stood up and the fight got worse.
Raya quietly moved from the scene, placed her apron on a table. She picked up her bag and put the little tips she got for the day in it and exited the bar.
There was no way in the world she was going to spend another minute in that bar. Was there no other job in town?
