"He's strength is incredible; it's most likely part of his technique," Hiroki thought as he looked at Kisu, who was covered in purple blood. Kisu was breathing heavily, and he stopped clenching his fist. As soon as he did this, the negative energy around his hand turned into neutral energy before it disappeared. "Are you okay, Tanaka?" Kisu asked. Hiroki nodded. "Did you use your technique just now?" Kisu shook his head. "Nah, I don't use my technique anymore," he replied. Hiroki almost choked on his own saliva when he heard that, "S- So that was just your raw strength??"Kisu nodded. "Yeah, after awhile of not using my technique, I just got stronger," he said. "It must've been a natural payoff," Hiroki replied. Kisu frowned. "A natural payoff? What's that?" he asked. "They really don't teach you anything, huh?" Hiroki asked. Kisu shook his head and gave a sheepish smile. "A natural payoff is something that happens when you give up something and you get something in return. You, for example, stopped using your soul technique, and in return for losing your technique, their payoff was increased strength," Hiroki explained. "And it depends on how strong your technique was, of course; the stronger the technique you sacrificed, the stronger the payoff," he added. "So that's why I'm strong, but you're saying if I use my technique, the payoff will go away?" Kisu asked. Hiroki nodded. "Yes, but there are also contracted payoffs; I don't know anything about them, so I can't explain," he said. "But what was your technique anyway?" Hiroki asked. "It's soul manipulation," Kisu said. Hiroki's eyes widened. "Wait, what's your full name?" "It's Kisu Kamano," he answered. Hiroki nearly fell over when he heard that. "You're a Kamano! Like the big clan, Kamano?" Kisu nodded. "Yeah, my grandfather is the clan head," he replied. Hiroki almost fainted in that moment; this was a pretty big deal. There are a few big clans that are known for being the strongest and most influential clans in Soul Society. And obviously, the exorcists from these clans are highly respected; the four biggest clans are the Kamano clan, the Senju clan, the Orion clan, and the Fujiwara clan. Just then, Kisu's phone began to ring. He reached in his pocket, pulled out his phone, and answered the call. "Hello, hello," Kisu said. "Kisu, are you done with the mission?" "Yeah, Haruto, we just finished a few minutes ago; why?" Kisu asked. "Hinata and Rowan finished their mission awhile ago, and I sent them the new mission. Rowan will be going with you, and Hinata will be with Hiroki, so you meet them at the location I send you," Haruto explained. "Okay, bye, Haruto!" Kisu said as he hung up. Kisu walked over to the left wall and pulled out his sword before turning to Hiroki and telling him what he was told. They left to meet up with Hinata and Rowan, and after a few minutes, they arrived at the place. "Kisu, you look rough, dude!" Rowan said this as he saw Kisu covered in purple blood. "I'm okay, just covered in purple, that's all," he replied. "I don't think that's normal," Hinata said. "It's not, but what can I do about it?" Kisu added. Rowan put his hand on Kisu's shoulder. "Rinse yourself off... That's what you can do," he said as he nodded. "Let's just get on with the missions," Kisu said. "You're right," Hiroki said. "Oh yeah, Hiroki, just so you know, Hinata knows next to nothing about the whole killing spirits thing, so you gotta do it all by yourself," Rowan explained. Hinata gave a sheepish smile. "I just found out about everything like a week ago," she said. "It's fine; I honestly don't mind doing all the work," Hiroki said. "Well then, this is where we should depart; I don't want to be late to kill that spirit," Kisu said. Everyone nodded, and they went their separate ways. On the way to kill the spirit, Kisu and Rowan stopped at a mall so Kisu could clean himself. "I'm done," Kisu said as he stepped out of the bathroom. His hair was still a bit wet, but now it's slicked back instead of his usual spikey hair. "Woah, you look like an anime character!" Rowan exclaimed as he saw Kisu. "You look like Sukuna from Jujutsu-Kaisen, but y'know... minus the markings," Rowan said. Kisu chuckled as they began talking until they reached the area where the spirit was. Once they got to the destination, they saw their spirit was inside a small forest area. They walked through the forest sensing for any sort of soul energy signature, and after awhile they found something. "You sense that?" Rowan asked. Kisu nodded in response and unsheathed his katana. Kisu then flipped his katana so it was facing upwards and, in one swift motion, cut upwards. Purple blood sprayed onto Kisu's arm as he looked at the now-visible spirit. Before the thing could react, Rowan kicked it, sending it flying, but luckily it landed on its feet. "Camouflage, how annoying... At least I cut it's arm off; it's probably going to heal that first," Kisu thought. And like Kisu anticipated, the spirit healed its arm. Rowan looked at Kisu, and they both nodded. Before the spirit could react, Rowan ran past it. The spirit was confused and didn't have its guard up, so Kisu rushed at it and punched it, sending it flying in Rowan's direction. Rowan stopped dead in his tracks, and as he turned around, he kicked the spirit in the back, sending it flying towards Kisu. Kisu then grabbed the spirit's arm and threw it into a tree. Before the spirit could do anything, Rowan appeared in front of it and kicked it through the tree. Kisu then appeared behind the spirit and used his katana to cut the spirit in half. The spirit's body fell down, and after a few seconds, it disappeared. "That was easy," Rowan said as he walked up to Kisu. "Yeah, I honestly thought it was going to be like my mission with Hiroki," Kisu said. "What did you guys' fight?" Rowan asked. "It was a gestating spirit," he replied. Rowan's eyes widened. "Woah, was it strong?" Kisu chuckled and put his arm around Rowan's neck. "How about I tell you it over lunch? Sound good?" Rowan nodded. "I know this good place that sells Korean food, and I'm dying to try it!" Rowan exclaimed. "Then it's settled," Kisu said as they began walking away. "So it was a gaint blob of flesh." Kisu said as he began explaining to Rowan about his mission, his voice softening in the distance. "He sure is a powerhouse, isn't he, Ichi? He killed two of your spirits." As Kisu disappeared, a man walked out from behind one of the trees. He was tall, probably about 1.85 meters. He had long black hair that touched the middle of his back. He also had stitches on his arms. "It makes sense; he is Sora Senju's pupil after all. And he's a Kamano after all, just like you, sir..."
