Hinata groaned as she got up from the bed. She looked around the room; it was about the average bedroom size, big enough to fit a desk, chair, cupboards, and a bed. Just then, Hinata heard a knock on the door. "Come in," she said. Then the door opened up and someone walked in. Hey, are you okay?" Kisu asked. No, I'm not fine. I literally almost just died! Kisu nodded before he grabbed the chair at the desk and sat down. Listen, I know you have some questions about what happened, and I'd be happy to answer them for you," he added. Hinata nodded. First, I'd like to know... what the hell was that creature and why am I in some random room, huh?" She asked angrily. "It's a yūrei," he replied. "Yūrei like as in a ghost? Hinata asked curiously. "Yes and no. It's more like the soul of a person that has not been able to move on towards the afterlife, or it's an amalgamation of energy that takes physical form," he stated. "Okay, my next question is, what is this energy you're talking about? "It's the energy that all living things give off; more specifically, it's soul energy. Hinata looked at Kisu with a look that said, 'I don't understand anything.' Kisu smiled and elaborated further: "Soul energy is the product of your soul transforming your emotions into energy. There's good energy and bad energy, as well as netural energy," Kisu explained, though Hinata was still confused. "Think of it like this: Your soul is an AI, and your emotions are computer code. The code or emotions are processed by the AI or soul, which then outputs said code, in this case, the soul energy. The energy that is produced from this depends on the emotions; positive emotions make positive energy, and negative emotions make negative energy. Since everyone's soul isn't a perfect processor, that's where netrual energy comes into play. It basically means their soul has to use a bit of positive and negative emotions and then process them. He stated. Hinata looked at him with a blank expression. "I didn't need a whole lecture on computer processors; you're such a nerd, Kisu-kun," she said as she laughed. Kisu stared at him bewilderedly. "Weren't you the one who asked me to explain it? He asked. "You said, and I quote, 'I'll be happy to answer the question you have, so yeah," she said with a smile. Kisu sighed. "I should've never saved you," he said jokingly. Hinata puffed up her cheeks and said, "Well, there's no turning back time, so you're stuck with me. Kisu chuckled, and then they heard a knock on the door. "Come in!" Kisu shouted, the door opening, and a tall figure walked into the room. He was 1.84 meters tall with short, dirty blonde hair and a coffee-colored suit on. "Ah, I see our newest student is awake," Haruto said. "Newest student?" Hinata asked as she frowned. "It's kind of a long story," Kisu added. "It's fine, Kisu. I'll explain it to you; you should get back to the classroom; I have a new mission for you guys," Haruto replied. Kisu got up from the chair and walked towards the door. "Oi, Haruto, don't overload her with information; she has a small brain," Kisu said as he tapped his forehead. Hinata felt offended. "Hey!" she shouted as Kisu left the room. Kisu closed the door behind him as he left, then made his way to the classroom. He got to the door and opened it. "Yo Kisu, how's the girl?" Rowan asked. Kisu sat down in the seat next to him and said, "She's alright; Haruto is also in the room, explaining the whole situation to her. Kisu replied. It must be rough, like this whole situation must be weird for her," Rowan replied. Kisu leaned back in his chair and said, Yeah, I guess so. There was a short silence in the classroom before Rowan spoke. "What's the deal with you and this girl anyway?" he asked. "What do you mean? Rowan leaned back in his desk as well. Like, y'know, why are you so worried and protective over her? Do you like her or something? Kisu sighed and looked up at the ceiling. "It's not that I like her or anything; it's just that she's really the only thing I have from my past. My mother died; I don't even know who my father is, and my friends... they Kisu couldn't finish his sentence because there was a lump in his throat; if he continued on, he'd probably break down in tears. Rowan looked at Kisu with a slight pity in his eyes and said, Yeah, you don't need to explain it to me; I already know. Just so you know, I'm sorry. Before Rowan could finish his sentence, Kisu interrupted him. "What are you sorry for? It's not your fault," Kisu said as he looked at Rowan. "What's done is done. I can't get everything I lost back, but I can keep what I have safe, and if I have to put my life on the line for it, then I will. He said. "I mean, when you put it like that, it makes sense," Rowan replied. "Of course I would; I'm the one who explained it," Kisu said with a smile. Rowan rolled his eyes. Just then the door opened up and Haruto and Hinata walked in. "You two seem chappy; what happened while we were gone? Kisu looked at Haruto with a smirk. "Something that doesn't concern you, he remarked. Haruto squinted his eyes. Well, I don't like your tone," he said jokingly. Kisu rolled his eyes. Anyway, what's the mission?" Kisu asked. "You guys just need to kill a low-class yūrei," Haruto explained. "Is that all? Rowan asked. "Yeah, but I mean, you guys do need Shojou with you," he said. "And where is the yūrei?" Kisu asked. "In an abandoned house somewhere in Tokyo. I'll send the location to your phone, Kisu," Haruto said as he took out his phone and sent the location to Kisu. "Now you guys should get going; I wouldn't want the yūrei to get away," he said with an awkward smile as he chased them out of the classroom. Rowan opened the door and they left the classroom, but Kisu turned around as he was leaving the classroom to look at Haruto skeptically. Are you okay, Haruto? Kisu asked. "Me! Pfff, I'm fine," he replied. Kisu nodded but kept his skepticism and left the classroom. "That was weird," Kisu said as they walked towards the school exit. "Haruto's a weird guy," Rowan added. Yeah, but that was out of the ordinary," Kisu said. "I guess it is. Anyway, do you guys want to get some ramen after the mission? Rowan asked. Sure, I'm fine with that; what about you, Hinata? Kisu asked. "I haven't had ramen in a while, so I'd be more than happy to," she added. "Then it's settled, but we should probably get this mission over and done with," Rowan said.
When the students left the classroom, Haruto got a phone call. "Haruto, did you manage to get the girl?" the man on the phone call asked. "Not even a hello, Mr.Hyashi? Haruto asked. "I don't have time for your games, Haruto; now answer my question," Mr.Hyashi asked. Yeah, she's here; is that all you wanted to ask? Haruto replied. "No, I wanted to tell you that we've postponed the execution date to July of next year," he answered. "Next year, what for? Haruto asked. "That's none of your concern, Haruto; just make sure you get someone who can do the job," he replied. "Fine, if that's all you have to talk about, then our call is done; I have paperwork to do," Haruto said. Before Mr.Hyashi could reply, Haruto ended the call. Then he called someone else. Sora, we need to talk," Haruto said. "What for?" He asked. "About the execution of the first year... Hinata Shojou…"
