The next day Rian rushed to the classes. He was late again and he had missed way too many classes. The blocks were pretty far from each other and it actually took 10 minutes to travel to most of the blocks since the Pearl Dorms were at the edge. The majority of the engineering classes of first-year students were in V-Block and it was really far from Pearl Dorms. The B-block and G-block were called Pearl Dorms and they were only for first-year students. The second and third-year classes were on the hilly side of the university. Though Melford University was 250 acres wide it actually had land around 600 acres. The rest was under construction. They had also planned to double their admission applications. Melford University was only famous for its Engineering courses. Though it also offered a degree in Fine Arts and Business but only a handful of students took those courses.
The path in the university was bathed in sunlight, although the majority of its radiance was veiled by the lush canopy of trees on either side. There was hardly any student visible. Rian ran faster and soon the V block was visible.
He rushed through the stairs and checked his room number which was room 316 and the class was of mechanical engineering.

Rian sighed as he reached the door which was closed. He could hear the professor shouting something. Nostalgia hit Rian as he ran a hand through his hair.
๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐
The shouting stopped and Rian sighed again. Professor Paatil opened the door and smiled widely as he saw Rian.
"Aah! Class look who's back!" He exclaimed loudly.
A few students laughed at the scene and Rian let out a strained smile.
"Sorry, I am late sir."
"No no no, I am sorry! I should have called you to remind you that you have a lecture."
More students laughed and some had relieved faces. Rian guessed that they were happy that now the professor won't teach or shout and will waste time on him again.
"You know there are students who don't like to study, there are students who love to study, there are average and normal guys who have neutral feel about both and then there's you! Even I don't know where you lie."
"It won't happen again."
"Oh, it should! How else will I prove to others that why attendance is soo important!"
"Sorry sir."
"I must say you are pretty consistent in your inconsistency! I am really impressed!"
"Then perhaps I should send you a tutorial video of my tardiness? Since you are our professor it will be free of cost of course."
The professor's smile wiped off his face as he glared at Rian. The rest of the class was laughing and some started howling and whistling.
"You think you are funny Mr. Wadiyar?"
"I don't think that sir but I can't say for the rest of the class."
They laughed again but stopped when the professor glared at them. Slowly his glare turned into a smirk as he looked at the rest of the students.
"You all will write a report about the Laws of Thermodynamics and IC engines. I need it by the next class. And yes, no one is going to get the attendance for today!"
Professor Paatil immediately left the class before anyone could react. Everyone groaned with the majority of students glaring at Rian.
"Are you an Idiot?!" Aaryan shouted as he looked at Rian. Rian remembered him from the first time he was in class. "Because of you, we won't get the attendance now." He complained and several students agreed and started complaining.
"Why the fuck did you laugh?" Rian narrowed his eyes as he stared back at Aaryan.
"Why the fuck did you argue with him? You should just have apologized!! But you pretended as if your reputation is getting hurt! You don't even have a good one, to begin with! Your inflated ego must have gotten hurt!" He said in a mocking tone.
"I don't have the energy to argue with you." Rian left the class and started walking down the stairs. There were still 25 minutes left for the next class since the professor left early. Rian wandered around the 1st floor of the block to pass some time. Since the ground and first floor were mostly computer labs the floor was silent. Rian observed that the dorms were much more lenient in comparison to the academic blocks. There was hardly a security cam in dorms but there was one on every corner here. The students were on their best behavior.
In one of the labs, Rian noticed that there was a poster attached to the door.
๐๐จ๐๐๐ซ'๐ฌ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐ฌ๐: Shhh Be Discreet
Now recruiting
Rian slowly opened the ajar door and saw three guys sitting around a table in the center of the classroom. They all turned as they saw Rian entering.
"Excuse me? Sorry, but the trials for football and other activities will be held on the playground." The one with the specs got up and said with a strained smile.
"What are you talking about?"
"The sports club?"
"I don't really play sports." Rian smiled.
"Oh." The guy with specs who was a foot shorter than Rian looked shocked as he eyed Rian.
"Uhh..... Then how can I help you?" He slowly spoke.
Rian pointed at the poster.
"Aah! You are interested in our club?! Nice nice, I am Kartik!" Kartik smiled widely.
Rian shook his hand, "What's this club about?"
"Well before we tell you, you will have to prove that you are really good at coding. We will give you some DSA problems alright?"
"Bro, are you shitting? We are not getting any members. Are you sure you wanna chase him out?" Kartik turned when his friend said this and laughed nervously.
"Hahaha! Welcome to the club!" Kartik laughed as he patted Rian and urged him to come inside.
"This is Laksh," Kartik pointed at the one who was against the test. "And this is Mohit." He pointed at the third guy who was the thinnest of the other two.
"Welcome bro," Laksh smiled.
"So what do you guys do?" Rian spoke as he dragged a chair from the nearest PC and sat with them.
"Everything." Kartik smiled looking at the other two and Rian raised his brow.
"Well, let's just say that there are lots of restrictions when using the university's internet. We make sure that there are no restrictions." Laksh observed Rian as he spoke this.
"Do you know any programming language?"
"Yeah, a few," Rian spoke.
"A few huh..."
"Yeah, I used to code when I was a kid. Left it after some years though." Rian spoke with a blank face, remembering his past.
"Woah really?"
"Give us your number. We will add you to our group." Kartik spoke as he dialed Rian's number.
"We are coding an app for the university right now. Why don't you fix some bugs we give and maybe we will let you in on our start-up idea." Kartik glanced at the other two as he spoke.
"Yeah sure," Rian smiled as he looked at them. "To new friendship."
Rian left the lab and started walking toward the dorms. He was not in the mood for any classes. His past memories were haunting him again. Rian massaged his head as he quickly rushed out of V-block. His head was throbbing with pain and he started running. He saw the narrow space between the two blocks and ran towards it. Random papers and some cigarette butts were scattered around but there was no student around. Rian ran a little deeper before falling down on the ground.
๐โ๐๐ก โ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ข ๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐?
Rian grabbed his head and stuffed it between his legs resting his back against the wall.
๐ผ๐ก'๐ ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐, ๐๐๐.
Rian's grip on his hair tightened as he pulled them. ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐

"Rian?"
The pain stopped as Rian raised his head and saw Nysa.
