The scars from abuse, whether physical or mental, never truly fade. Eloise knows this, but still she is compelled to inflict pain on others, because that is what she knows, and that is what she is used to. She continues the cycle of abuse, and knows that what she is doing is wrong. But her addiction to the power it gives her, and the control she feels it gives her over others, is stronger than her guilt. She is the embodiment of abuse and evil, and she feels no remorse for it.
She sits on a throne of thorny malice, piercing every fiber of her being, forcing every nerve and muscle to clench. She wears a crown, heavier than diamonds and gold combined. It is a symbol of the great evil and control she wields over the people. One day her crown will be torn from her head, and her throne will be dismantled, but for now she is an unstoppable force on the path of destruction. She is a ruler of pain and misery, and she will stop at nothing to stay on top. Nothing will be spared from the wrath of her power.
She is driven by the idea that her sacrifices cannot be for nothing, and therefore she continues down this path of darkness and destruction. Even with all the questions that plague her mind and the thoughts of what could have been, what should have been, there is no turning back now. The only thing she can do is continue on this path, despite the cost. Her life is forever changed, and so are the lives of those she touches. She is willing to do whatever it takes, without mercy or remorse, in order to continue along this path.
But sometimes deep down, she wonders if she could have done things differently, if she could have avoided this path of pain and destruction. If only she could go back and change things, but she knows that it is now too late.
