Viego looked me in the eyes with a pale look on his face. He seemed ashamed to continue looking so he diverted his eyes away.
I put my hand around my back and prepared to take out my knife but before I could, Zerstörer stood up from his chair and told me to calm down. Zyo watched on as he convinced me.
"He killed Devina! He killed MY SISTER!!!"
Zerstörer took a deep breath and sighed. He took up a biscuit from the table and walked up towards me.
"Let me tell you something, they are alive."
A shock of relief traveled down my spine, throughout my nerves. I opened my eyes wide with widened brows.
"How?"
"How what kid? They are just alive."
"No, you actually tell me how they are alive, you know about the explosion that monster caused! It incinerated the whole city!" I said while pointing at Viego.
"Listen, I'm gonna say this, it was my fault for employing that curse upon your sister and forcing you guys to continue staying here in Nautilus. But it kinda worked in both our favor."
I looked down at the ground, my face was twitching as a drop of blood fell on the pristine floor.
"You made my sister suffer… you know how much pain she went through?!?"
Another drop of blood dripped from my hand.
"Listen, because your sister got sick, you made a bunch of good stuff my men have been getting and we resold them for such a high price in other countries that I made a profit. And for you, you discovered more of your ability."
Zyo yelled out at Zerstörer that blood was dripping onto the floor.
The palm of my hand had been pressed against the blade because of anger. Causing it to absorb the blood.
"Don't worry, I will call the mai…"
My dagger that had been transferred into a sword impaled into Zerstörer's chest.
"If you die, the aeonic powers within my sister will go away."
"you are so naïve."
The whole time Zyo was laughing her ass off in the background because Zerstörer let me stab him through the chest.
Something was wrong and I let go of the sword. Zerstörer's muscles clamped onto the sword and closed the wound. The mark of breakage appeared on his chest and my sword started to rust before turning into dust.
"Sit down."
Without the activation of my Aeon, I charged at him with intent to kill. I threw a punch at his stomach. Unmovable wall. My hand ached and became red. His muscles were like a rock, with my hand still on his stomach, he grabbed my arm and threw me on the table.
Glass on the table fell to the ground, shattering into millions of pieces. A wine that they had been drinking tipped and now was on the floor.
Viego and Zyo watched me as I got up from the table.
"Just listen to him, there is nothing you can do to him as of right now," Viego said nonchalantly.
"Shut your mouth, prince of cowardice."
"I'm just saying, that even at my fullest strength…" Viego paused…
"Zestörer would still be 5 times stronger than me."
A heavy atmosphere was felt behind me, as Zerstörer's mark of Breakage continued to bloom all over his body.
"Now kid, imma give you two options, sit down and listen. Or die right here, right now."
He dragged out the chair for me to sit down a smiled confidently at me.
Was I really gonna sit down a hear out a man who made my sister suffer through horrendous pain? Listen to what he had to say.
Viego then abruptly interrupted us.
"Devina and the rest are in Dragonscale."
There was a pause.
Viego lifted one of his arms and waved it around while he explained. Before he released the explosion he made sure not to hit Devina and Sekito's place.
But Devina was never at the house to begin with, she only disappeared after the explosion. Did she really disappear?
"That's why you need to hear us out, kid."
I finally decided to sit down and listen to what they had to say.
"So you didn't destroy the Fivindius mansion where my sister slept?"
Viego shook his head, "I avoided places where Devina and Sekito could have been, per my contract with Zerstörer."
"What contract?"
Zyo sighed and rolled her eyes while crossing her legs.
"He's in love with Sekito."
"Hey! I told you not to tell anyone!"
Zyo just rolled her eyes again and sighed.
"You have been stalking her day and night, you even found out her secret base in the middle of the woods."
"So that's how he found us…"
Zerstörer's mark started to dissipate as he put his hands around Zyo's head and started squeezing it.
"stop stop stop!!!! it HURTS!!!"
"so what is Dragonspine?"
Zyo explained that it was a city close to Nautilus down south. but due to declining sea levels, the once coastal city had become a desert. Many people travel there to bathe in the waters a dragon had been slain in. Its body continues to produce water even after thousands of years.
"But why would she be there and how do you know that she is there?"
Her eyes went once again back into her head as she took a deep breath. "Please Viego, I hate talking this much."
"We don't have any intel or ideas on why she is there. But we do know she is there because of your marked sister."
Viego pointed at Zerstörer.
"He can locate his energy within Emovi thousands of kilometers away, therefore we knew that they were still alive."
Zerstörer reached out his hand.
"We can help you get back your sister, and I promise to remove the curse if you cooperate with us."
