Chapter 54 - Chapter 46

Eru having returned to his original Domain was now with his sons, Ulmo, Surya, Set, Mandos, Horus and his grandson Perseus.

In the midst of their gathering, Eru found himself reunited with Anubis, Mandos,Surya, Set, Perseus, and Ulmo. Together, they delved into discussions concerning the unfolding events across Valyria, Westeros, and Essos.

Valyria now had a new King by the name Aryan, who was showing slight power hungry tendencies.

Eru shared insights, revealing "Valyria has turned its gaze towards Rhyonar,'" drawing attention to the growing tensions.

Perseus, wearing a somber expression, affirmed, "Indeed, they harbor intentions for Rhyonar."

Set expressed disapproval, stating, "Their greed is becoming evident."

Acknowledging the changing dynamics, Perseus sighed, "Power seems to be clouding their judgment."

Perseus added, "I've tried reaching out to my descendants, but King Aryan Belerys has garnered a formidable following. Also the legacy of House Velaryon, which was once influential, now faces challenges due to the diminishing sway during Aeryarr's reign it especially hard in the Dragon Lord's political arena."

Eru's voice resonated with determination, "I've already devised plans to aid the people of Rhyonar. I won't allow their complete destruction, especially considering their ancestors' allegiance to the Ancient gods."

Ulmo, Perceus, Surya, and Set nodded in agreement. Set, curious, inquired, "Father, what specific plans do you have for them?"

Eru sighed, his gaze fixed on the beleaguered city of Rhyonar. "If the situation worsens in this war, I'll assist those seeking peace in escaping to Westeros, particularly Dorne. There, they can start anew."

His children unanimously supported the plan.

Surya voiced his concern, "Father, if Valyria persists on this path, their destruction is inevitable."

Perseus, Horus, and Ulmo, closely connected to Valyria, displayed subtle worry. Perseus inquired, "Will Valyria truly meet its end?"

Eru sighed, "Yes, if they continue down this path, their downfall is certain."

A tinge of sadness crossed Perseus' face, but he spoke with determination, "Don't worry, grandfather. I'll do my best to ensure it doesn't come to that."

Eru, however, shook his head, already foreseeing Valyria's doom. Ulmo, Surya, Mandos, Set, and Horus shared a sense of foreboding, having witnessed the downfall of mighty empires like Ghiscari due to unchecked power hunger.

While Eru decided to change topic seeing the damp atmosphere and turned to Set with a smile, teasing, "I heard Nephthys is pregnant."

Set grinned and nodded, "Indeed, we've decided to have a child—a boy."

As Ulmo, Mandos, Anubis, Horus, and Surya congratulated their brother, Eru smiled at Set and remarked, "Nephthys and I have named him Ares."

Eru's eyebrows raised at the choice, envisioning Ares clad in bronze armor adorned with ram engravings, symbolizing divine status—a nod to the God of War.

Recognizing the figure as the Ares variant from the Wrath of the Titans movie, Eru subtly glanced at Perseus, silently hoping that their tale wouldn't mirror the film's turbulent narrative.

But soon the Rhoynar, felt he insidious grasp of the Valyrian Freehold expanded like a dark, encroaching shadow across the fertile lands of Essos. At first, the Rhoynar welcomed the newcomers with open arms, their hearts believing in the unity of all men under the benevolent watch of Lord Ulmo. Valyrian adventurers, merchants, and settlers had ventured into western Essos since the dust of the Ghiscari wars had settled millennia ago, their presence gradually seeping into the very fabric of the region. Volantis, a colossal bastion, stood proud and ominous at the mouth of the Rhoyne, marking the beginning of the Freehold's territorial aspirations. Further north, on the winding tributaries of the majestic river, two more cities, Norvos and Qohor, emerged under the watchful guidance of their Valyrian forebears.
