she continued letting intermittent sobs as her face looked down on her hand and heard the footsteps of her father as he neared her.his shirt soaked with tears stuck to his chest as he sat down down beside Adira.
he handed a piece of tissue and she took,blowing her nose with it before she placed it on the table,not knowing where else to place it.she sniffed the the glass of water her father offered her and took a sip.
she let out a shuddered breath,while resting the cup on her lap with her two hands holding it as she bit her lips to hold in a sob.
she looked at the clear water in the glass and let out a slight cough before she looked up at her father with teary eyes.
"what happened"he asked in a soft voice,raising his hand to her hair and stroked it lovingly"who dare to make my daughter cry"his voice was laced with tenderness and fatherly love that it made her almost break into a sob but she controlled it.
