Hendrix woke up the next day as he got up out of the chair while coughing. He got his cane and grabbed a plate of paste and a wooden spoon before eating some satiate his hunger. As he did, he stroked his chin before sitting down and closing his eyes while chewing.
He only opened his eyes when he took another bite. Otherwise, his eyes stayed closed. Once he finished eating, he put away the spoon and plate and sat in his chair. And he leaned back before looking up at the ceiling with his brows furrowed.
{Hendrix, what are you thinking about right now? Are you doing alright?}
'I'm pondering how I will make my invention work. Though currently, I'm stuck and helpless.' Hendrix thought while he crossed his arms as he aimlessly gazed at the ceiling. His focus drifted from one part of the ceiling to another, seemingly randomly.
{Perhaps you're thinking too hard on this. Maybe you can look at your status and see your new title?}
'I guess I could though I'm going to need to condense it.'
[Your status is now condensed, Hendrix]
Hendrix's mouth opened nothing came out. He was utterly speechless while blinking rapidly. His head flinched back slightly as he looked at the text blankly.
{I'm starting to think you are Sentient Guide. After all, Hendrix didn't ask you anything. Yet you just did what he wanted in his mind.}
[...]
{Oh well}
'Um, may I see my condensed status Guide?' Hendrix thought after he recovered as he blankly looked in a random direction before limply relaxing in the chair, awaiting a response.

'I'm glad my status is much denser. Now let's see how I can make my new invention work.' Hendrix thought as he grabbed his cane and coughed loudly. Before getting up and walking to the room, he placed his invention steadily but slowly.
Once Hendrix arrived back inside the room his invention was, he began trying to make it work through trial and error methods. However, he often broke his creation due to failures and had to start from scratch. As days turned to weeks, Hendrix continued to test and experiment with it before he had a breakthrough in his attempts and began to build with vigor.
'I'm so close to making my invention work here. Oh, I wonder how far it can shoot when I test it.' Hendrix thought as his eyes faintly sparkled while clutching his hands and began building his invention.
Hendrix began building the ballista-like thing efficiently, and as he did, its completed form began to form. Once he finished, he smiled for a fleeting moment before it disappeared as he examined his creation.
Its frame looked like a thin, compact, lightweight ballista with three ropes that he could pull back and fire with needles using cranks. It also had ten long and twig-like compartments on each side, each filled with three long and paper-thin needles.
{Hendrix, your invention seems to be extremely lightweight and compact. I wonder how it will inflict any damage.}
'Well, I can place a piece of wood and see its piercing ability. However, I made this invention to attack the weak points of my enemies from far away. Since I'm not leaving this my fortress during this assessment.' Hendrix thought as he placed the light needle ballista on the ground and placed three long needles on the ropes before pulling them back using cranks. Afterward, he walked in front of the light needle ballista and grabbed a failed one, and used it as a target.
{Hendrix, shouldn't you use monster flesh to test it first? Since you aren't aiming to fight head-on but by attacking weaknesses.}
'I plan on testing it with wood first to see if the needles will do damage to something that hard. If not, I'll change my target to a dead monster's body. Or maybe I'll hunt a living one.' Hendrix thought as he returned to his weapon and fired the needles at the wood.
The needles almost instantly left the ballista-like thing and collided with the failed product causing it to break apart as the remaining force pushed its remnants into the wall breaking the target even further. In the aftermath, the needles and targets were in ruins.
'I'm glad this can damage wood at close distance, and now I need to see how far this will fire.' Hendrix thought as his gaze stayed fixed on the aftermath, completely forgetting to blink. And he stood still, unmoving, before he released a deep breath.
{Hendrix, I'm curious why your invention isn't giving you a notification or causing my power to increase, even by a fractional amount.}
'I'm not sure, Ackalon, but I still need to test its range. Guide how much does this weapon weigh?'
[It weighs fifteen pounds.]
'It's about half my weight. That's disheartening. I can't carry one around with me at all times.' Hendrix thought as he walked through the corridors while carrying the ballista with both hands. Knowing he couldn't use his cane to help him walk as he did.
Once he arrived at one of the holes, he placed down the ballista and aimed it outside before repeating his earlier actions to load it and fire it. And the needles flew out at immense speeds and beyond the horizon.
{I feel my power rising by about five percent, Hendrix, good job.}
[You have created something by yourself, congratulations.]
[Do you wish to name it?]
[Y/N?]
'Hmm, give me a moment. I can't think of one off the top of my head.' Hendrix thought as he pressed his hands together and closed his eyes. And he tapped his left foot on the ground while furrowing his brows.
[Acknowledged]
After thirty minutes passed, Hendrix opened his eyes and smiled fleetingly before his expression became neutral once more.
'I'll call this invention the Triphara Ballista.'
