"Chief Jin, what are you thinking?! Sending that person out with his tenth seal broken! What would you do if he went berserk this time?! Hah?!"
The sixth unit division was sited at the southern part of Saint Isle and served as the sole exit of the island. It boasted the greatest security as a border exit gate along with the first division set on the northern part of Saint Ilse. At the headquarters of this Division, a conference of the chiefs is being held. With the sudden attack at the Central academy, the Saint Stella Academy, the chiefs were forced to hold their daily meeting advance in time.
Currently at this very conference, a loud voice can be heard reverberating inside the meeting hall. This voice is coming from a person with a medium build, wearing a white tuxedo. Brown hair, thin checks, round blue eyes, hawk shaped nose, and an island of beard under his jawline. He was the chief of the sixth unit representing the American Ability users, "Vanguard"—Richard Richer.
"You've kept your secrets enough! We were just lucky last time that Chief Alfreeja was there. If that thing happens to go wild without any of us monitoring him, it would be a certain disaster."
Gleren's tendency to berserk was made clear to the other chief as to not make any mistrust of using Gleren for selfish purposes of the seventh unit. It was an order that came directly from the President. Though, aside from Alfreeja and Jin, no other Chiefs know of Gleren on a personal level. Though they heard of him, and he operated with them, he only worked with the members of the other divisions, and it was under the command of Jin as an Academy Headmaster.
"I can understand where you are coming from, Chief Richer. But calling Gleren a 'thing' is something I cannot let pass."
Jin glared at him. Jin was a man of tough build, muscles of steel can be expected from his bulging frame, but this does not make Richer falter not make him overwhelmed. That's what makes the chiefs different. They stand at an equal ground.
"I agree with chief Richer at this matter, chief Yamada."
Raised hand, another person spoke. He had a build comparable to Jin but this person was head smaller than him. He was wearing a light blue barong with a modern touch and embroidery of the sun. Thick brows lined over his brown eyes, button nose over the mustache that was resting over his mouth meeting the beard under his jawline. His hair was neatly brushed up. His skin was brown and despite his intimidating aura, he was smiling warm at the people before him. Fernando Magtangol—the chief of the fourth division; Kalasag.
"Why not let him be?"
A sweet voice called leading the sight of the other chiefs to where it came from.
"Better yet, why not let him do so? In that way we can test if he really had the means to be the holder of such terrifying power. It would also determine if we should increase the number of seals to the boy or completely eliminate him. A good opportunity, don't you think?"
"Why, you!"
Jin snarled at her. This person smiled lightly as she hid her alluring thin-red lips behind her golden hand fan which was lined with Chinese texts. She wears white hanfu partnered with a red qun skirt; a traditional Chinese attire. Her hair was beautifully arranged in an Ancient Chinese Hairstyle. With the soft elegant touch of the raised bun, its exquisiteness was further amplified with various hair ornaments. A lovely lotus flower rests on its top stealing the highlight of her hairdressing. Thin face housing her thin pointed nose and slitted eyes which were comparable to as of jades lined with red dan (Chinese traditional eyeliner). A huadian make-up resting in between her thinned brows. Her white skin, smooth like porcelain, was complementing her style. While she wears layered clothing, the abundance of her breast cannot be concealed. Her arrogance showed her authority.
"What? Does that child hold more secrets than what you already revealed? Hmm? Shall I investigate personally about this matter? Chief Yamada Jin of the Japanese division?"
"Wu Li Xiu!"
"A dog that does not bite is harmless."
She shrugged as a response for Jin's outburst. Wu Li Xiu—the richest woman in all of China. This person was the Chief of the largest division in Saint Isle—the second divison; Long or Yu Long; or the Great Dragon. With the age of merely 26, the future of this woman was stablished. She was by far the youngest of the chiefs. And an undeniably beauty at that!
Jin cared for Gleren as much as he cared for Reina. He sees him as his own son, thus, Jin is intolerant for insult directed to Gleren. His aura had been gathering since then, but before he could explode, Alfreeja spoke.
"You should be aware that he, Gleren, is still my disciple. If you have complaints regarding my student, you should directly extend it to me. As his master, I would gladly entertain your rants."
Everyone was silenced by this remark. Alfreeja, being the first division Chief had displayed power unrivaled to all. By all means, no one had ever seen her use her ability—no one. Except for a single person. The boy she took under her wings; Gleren. Alfreeja had more than just an authority as the first division chief—the other looks at her with great respect. And inside this organization, no one dares to cross her boundaries.
"…However, I do understand your worries. Even I myself am worried. Should I come with them on this mission?"
That was her very intention,
"Rejected!"
but was abruptly turned down by everyone without even being considered.
"Why?!"
Yes, Alfreeja was deeply respected—aside from her tendency to be obsessive of Gleren. With how she conducts herself and her unexpected loose expression, everyone here finally understood that very well.
"Anyway, enough with the trivial matter. We have a huge problem now at our hands."
Another voice sounded after clearing her throat. It was an electronic voice that was produced from a transparent crystal ball. It was a long-distance communicator device which connected the President of HARMONIA to the meeting as she cannot attend face-to-face. The president is away as she is currently having a conference with the Administrative Council for days—thus the notion of her virtual participation.
"The actions of 'Sacred Omen' only mean one thing; the other side, the 'Specter Prophesy' should be making their moves as well."
It would not be strange for the counterpart of the Sacred Omen to be preparing as well. Specter Prophesy is much more discreet when they act and they move in the shadows—but the fact that all of its members are ability users is one thing the HARMONIA cannot ignore. Imagining that the Sacred Omen successfully pulled off their plan—whatever plan they have. The clash between these two sides will be inevitable. And as the balancer of the world, HARMONIA would have no choice but to intervene as the third party of this faction war. The best thing to do was for the organization to stop the plan of Sacred Omen—the only problem is that they do not have any data or idea on what these people are thinking. The atmosphere turned serious at the topic.
"Sacred Omen and Specter Prophesy had made connections to the other countries. It would not be a stretch to say that they are already working as an affiliate for those who love to take advantage of the situation. I have heard a news stating that Europe had already invested with the Seraphim faction—isn't that right?"
"That is indeed most certain."
As the figure in the crystal shifted its focus, a young man responded in a graceful manner. He pushed his clear glasses up as he nodded in response. He speaks,
"Our contacts outside the island reported a peculiar movement at the center of Religion in Europe; Namely the Vatican City."
This person moves in a manner that cannot be described other than elegant. His blonde long hair tied in a low pony is kept tidy as it goes well with his brown tweed jacket over his black vest. A tie was neatly attached to his white long sleeve underneath. He had a soft expression—while he talks slowly, there is a majestic presence in his every movement. This person is the Chief of the third division—Saint Lugh; Arthur Lewis.
"Is it not just a misjudgment? For what I am concerned, the Vatican is a place where most people, especially those who are in birth religious, flock to. Is there solid proof for this report?"
The chief of the sixth, Richer, inquired.
"Just as you said, chief Richer. We do not have solid proof. But I do believe that there is a discrepancy that validates this report."
"Meaning to say?"
Jin squinted.
"It is true and most certainly undeniable that Vatican City is a place of visit, that is fine and all—however, the concerning part of these visits is that it happens at night."
All ears, everyone except to one stern their looks.
"We all know how strict the security of the Vatican is when it comes to discipline and curfew, yet how are these people able to walk around freely at such time?"
"Point made. Even in China, the security at night is increased—doubled if I say so myself. Crime is more prominent when darkness is present, after all."
Arthur nodded at the words of Li Xiu.
"Please pay attention to the screen."
Arthur moves his hand swiftly. As He does, a screen appeared out of nowhere and floated at the center of the round table where all of them gathered. At the screen, a night activity was shown in video footage. The city of the Vatican where every corner had been heavily guarded.
"The only deduction we have here is that; they had made contact with the authority. Or rather; they are the newly nominated security of that City."
"This is quite troubling…"
Li Xiu said in a low voice.
"What do you make of this, chief of the fifth division… Chief Benedetta?"
Alfreeja called, shifting her gaze to the one who has yet to speak since the conference began. Tall tanned body perceptibly toned with training. She wears a peaked cap over her head and is lightly dressed—wearing only a black leather vest and a sarashi cloth as a means to wrap her breast—exposing most of her dark brown skin. It was left open that her thin waistline, and six-packs abs is out for the world to see. Her white short hair tinged with black strands is one-sidedly faded on the left barely reaching her neck—her bangs slanted, concealing her left eye as well—sometimes revealing the black eyepatch she got. She was sitting silently, her arms crossed under her chest—her long legs embraced by leather pants crossed as well. She has an exquisite appearance different than Li Xiu. An athletic-muscled beauty. She, Benedetta Aragon; chief of "Estoque" the representation of Spain—opened her right eye which was closed since earlier; the entire time. With the appearance of her amethyst iris, she raised her chin and spoke cancelling the silence that had overcome the room.
"…I don't know. I have no idea. I fell asleep."
Everyone's jaw was left ajar.
The meeting continued and eventually ended without any more hassle…
