Outside the Academy, there are people gathering. Most are ability users who choose to live freely as a citizen of the Saint Isle—they are the residents of the Saint Stella. They were gathered here for a single reason; the barrier that was surrounding the school.
At the center of the crowd was people wearing black military or rather naval based uniform to be more precise. It was lined with crimson decorations and definitions from its hem to its sleeves. It was almost identical to the ones that the students wear, but more defined and had more dignity on it. Women were wearing miniskirt under while men wear pants for the bottom. On their left shoulder their ranks were engraved while on the right was the number 7—under it was the name "Kage no Kishi."—these were written in gold while also bordered with crimson.
"It's no use. This barrier seemed more durable than it looks."
These people are trying their best to make the barrier disappear. However, it had been hours but they were not able to make it bulge.
"Analyst Kim, it would take time for us to destroy this barrier. It's sturdy and ability based attacks don't work on it."
"Seems like it."
Kim answered curtly while staring at the barrier. It was a dome like-golden light that was covering the whole Saint Stella Academy. At first it was not visible, but with Kim's ability, the once invisible barrier turned into something like this.
"Now what should we do? Without my ability, analyzing this barrier would seriously take time."
Kim said biting the nail of her thumb. She had this grim look on her cute face. Her excitement she felt earlier were now gone knowing that the students inside must be in great danger. However, while she was delving in her thoughts, thinking deeply about how she could help to get them out of this situation, there was a movement in the crowd.
"Give way. This is urgent. Move."
As Kim turned her gaze towards the murmurs, a girl in a grey suit appeared clearing the crowd. Long purple hair tied in a high pony tail, tall body build, and brown eyes—she was a beautiful matured lady. Behind her was three other people. But once the person behind the woman in front showed her face, all of the ones who were in the military uniform bowed including Kim to show their respect.
"Greetings to the Chief of the First division! It's an honor to see you, here!"
Kim said in reverence as the representative of all the members present there. Who stands before them was a woman with long flowing hair red as blood. She had a strong glaring eyes—crimson in paired to her hair. Calm demeanor yet intimidating aura is what she emits. Beautiful face, tall build and attractive figure. But what's more notable is the scar on her lovely visage that runs straight from above her right eye to her right cheek. On her back was a sword only slightly shorter than her—it was wrapped in white cloth with only the handle peeking out. Her name was,
"It's a pleasure to meet you again, Chief Alfreeja d' Arc."
"Houmu."
Alfreeja nodded in response. Alfreeja d' Arc. Albeit being born in Russia, she was a direct descendant of the sword saint Jean d' Arc. It is said that if it would only be a battle without using any ability, there would be no one who can win against her. And Alfreeja was Gleren's master in swordsmanship.
"Quite the situation we got her, isn't it, Hanna?"
Said the girl in the blue dress while touching the barrier. She had a round beautiful face and round eyes with brown irises. Red lips and thin nose. She was a little chubby, but she's not fat. In fact, she had her fats in the right places. Her name was Reizel Guevara.
"Don't touch that casually Reizel. It might be dangerous."
Said the girl who was just behind Alfreeja. This girl was rather thin compared to Reizel, and her face is in contrast to Reizel is thin as well. They both had long black hair and the only difference there is how they conduct their personalities; Reizel is a bit free while Hanna is rather stiff. Grey eyes and her long hair were tied in a single bundle. Hanna Villafuerte—Reizel's best friend.
"She's right. We had no idea what after effect it has if we touch it casually."
Said the lady with the purple hair. Among the four of them, she was the tallest. looking at her would suggest how stiff her personality was. Neat gray suit which makes her look like a manager suited her perfectly. She has a glossy lips and perfectly pointed nose. Her brown eyes were hidden behind her clear glasses. However, despite being so prim and proper there was something that she cannot hide—the size of her chest. Her name was Mira Reinhart—the vice-chief of the Saint Rouge.
"I apologize for our incompetence; however, we still didn't have the mean to destroy the barrier. It may take a while, but please bear with us."
"Oh, you need not to worry about that."
Mira shook her head and look at Alfreeja who was touching the barrier this time. And then, after nodding once, Hanna, Mira, and Reizel stepped back a bit.
"What do you mean about that?"
Kim asked with a puzzled expression. It was answered by Mira with a smile.
"You'll see what I mean. But first, I suggest you steep away from there a bit."
"Ah, yes!"
Kim did as she said without asking more question. As she does, she saw Alfreeja reaching for her sword which was on her back.
"Awake, oh holy sword. It's time to cut the evil!"
She raised the sword overhead and as she does the wind was called and the clothes wrapping the blade loosened and revealed a magnificent twin-edged sword. The blade of the sword was decorated with golden scriptures probably Latin—there was a rosary wrapping the handle, and within the golden scriptures were five crosses engraved.
"Howl! it is time to vanquish! Sword of Saint Catherine!"
She brought the sword down in a forceful slash. Tremble! There was a loud noise of the blade hitting the barrier, and sparks as it grinds. And then with the unbearable force of the blade there was huge sound of glass breaking and a light that blinds the execrators. But as the light banished, a huge crack was made—the barrier was breached in just a single slash.
"Alright. let's get in, shall we?"
Alfreeja said casually while all the people aside from Mira, Hanna, and Reizel were left in awe and disbelief.
She made it look so easy—the chief of the first unit; Alfreeja d' Arc.
"As one would expect from our Chief."
Said Reizel.
"Certainly."
Followed Hanna.
"Well, that's just how it is."
Mira added.
"Hehehe. Now, let's go! Let's see how my cute disciple is doing!"
"Yes ma'am!"
The three answered in sync.
